I remember watching that when I was a kid.. One of the shows I always meant to go back and watch again.. But as someone else said, I seem to recall it totally going off the rails after the first season.

You would have to do this anyway. Without an atmosphere or magnetosphere, the radiation would kill you within a few months anyway.

I’m still in the dark.. what exactly is the issue with the Fermi Paradox? I dont see how these new numbers change much, and if anything make the paradox a stronger issue.

I was a Christie supporter (I’m in Recovery) right up until he killed the ARC Tunnel. So much bullshit..

Can I please get the 7 Train out to NJ now? Anything to get off the shit hole that is NJT.

Seriously, someone needs to hang him. Yes, dangerous storm, i’d probably evacuate, but to say EVERYONE is going to die is fear mongering at a epic scale. By his logic, everyone in New Orleans should be dead.

Maybe.. I’d rather err on the side of keeping something around that has lived successfully with humans for tens of thousands of years tho, if I can.

I guess it comes down to ‘We Dont Know’. Its hard to say that something is a benefit, or not a benefit to the environment, as that would be based on the predication that we knew exactly how ever tree interacted with the environment. Thats really hard to tell. So, you can risk it, and let something go extinct and

Can we please just get Twilight Zone or Outer Limits back? The Outer Limits that (Showtime?) did in the 90's was awesome, just bring that back and I’ll be happy.

Nah, that also.. By that time, battery technology will be good enough you wont need fossil fuels. We are close now, in say 20 years, its game over. What I never hear talked about is the opposite of range anxiety, IE, an average car can get ~350 miles on a tank of gas. What happens when we have batteries capable of

Good point..

I read that as Buzz Lightyear at first, and got discouraged.. :)

Well, the idea is that you would use it as a sort of conveyor belt type of approach. The Transporter is always moving, but you can get on/off it when it does it flyby.

As others have said, im not sure accurate that is.. In any case, im far from a expert on this field (as im guessing everyone on here is). Dont get me wrong, I have no want to eat someone, as I have other alternatives. I’d just be curious as to the ‘Why’ of it being so Taboo.. Like I said I think it has to do with

Someone smarter then me can answer this.. If you use the massive engine to break earth orbit, and then slingshot around mars, could you make the trip back to earth fuel free? Then potentialy slingshot around Earth and back to Mars? Endlessly?

Parachutes wont work on Mars for anything of significant mass, powered landing is the only way to do it (barring some sort of new tech). Thats why Curiosity didn’t use parachutes (the whole way down). The atmosphere is just to thin for it.

Meh, I dont see the big deal.. I think the big barrier is not so much eating another human, but eating something else that is intelligent, and self aware and the empathy that you (the canibal) would have for that person. Take away the empathy part by either a change in culture, or a change in what is being eaten

Nice.. Never saw that before. I just cant get it, what do these people say when you bring up The USSR, Stalin, China (Mao), Cuba, etc.. None of them turned into the workers paradise they envisioned, I wonder why they would think it would be any different here.

Yes, that, and the fact that EVERY episode has a Cameo from someone in it. The nice thing in the earlier seasons was that the Cameos were far and few between, and the stories could be selectively written around those cameos. Last I saw you had the band/celebrity of the week on, and it started to lose the ability to

Good point, but it doesn’t mean it changed the for the better. Not trying to disparage anyones taste, im genuinely curious. I haven’t been able to meet anyone that has said they watch it on a regular basis, regardless of age.
