He took 17 seconds to get out of the car. If that fire had started in the cabin he would likely have severe burns on most of his body. Practice is key for situations such as these.

The CR-V has the WORST AWD system of all time. Ever.
Making batteries that charge as quickly as you can fill a tank of fuel is going to be quite the feat. Even if you say that you only extract 29% of the energy from the fuel you burn and 100% from electricity stored in a battery, you're still looking at a charging rate of 3,734,453 watts. That's assuming 2 minutes to…
As mentioned by everyone, I worry that impacts will rupture these 'batteries' and arc. Being that they would be super capacitors they can transfer huge amount of energy very quickly, which increases the likelyhood of an arc. This arc could probably either injure people directly or indirectly by starting a fire with…
I didn't say you "didn't survive all those winters after all". I said that all season tires are shit on snow and ice. Using winter tires doesn't add a huge cost to driving, and significantly improves traction on snow and ice. I don't need Rivals on my DD either, as set of Ling Longs or Triangles would work just fine,…
Try stopping quickly on any amount of snow or ice. There has been enough tests and publications where it has been shown time and time again that all season tires are shit on snow and ice. They're fine for not flying off the road at every turn, but an emergency maneuver on all seasons will likely get you in trouble.
At age 72 anything more than a fender bender will likely result in very serious injuries with no seatbelt. I sincerely hope this does not happen to your mother.
This cost will obviously drop every time another one is sold, which is something. As the article says it's hard to put a number on the allure that this car brings to the brand as well. Not to mention that the engineers and designers likely learned a lot during the development which has likely affected products created…
We had a Maserati MC12 at a local autocross two years ago. He did donuts and no one complained. Because MC12.
I want this right now. I wonder if the boss would agree to get it as a company vehicle?
There already is a standard it's called 'Qi' (Pronounced 'chi' for some reason). Unfortunately powermat and Qi aren't compatible.
Screw you.
I wonder if the wankel fuel situation has anything to do with why manufacturers never embrace any of the many other ICE designs? Are they afraid of investing millions only to have it fail miserably?
Why not have both tubes (North/South) tied together at the ends. That way the air will circulate and won't have to be pressurized or blown backwards by some ridiculous fan on the front of the pod.
Larger cylinder bore, properly high revving motor. This motor should make at least 230hp. If the s2000 can do it with 10 year old tech the twins can do it too.
Will you ever participate in Targa Newfoundland?
I was somehow picturing someone cleaning their glasses on their lab coat before I reached that part of your comment. Well done.
The goal wasn't some shooting competition. The goal was to blow up a fucking car with guns and explosives.
The law doesn't say anything about public roadways. Just that you may not operate any motor vehicle with a BAC over the legal limit.
