Never played CS:GO as by the time it came out I had stopped playing any CS game all together. Life kicked in. But I just always assumed GO would be the same as it was just a reskinned CSS as it was still on the same source engine. Could even see reused models assets etc.

But CS:S was basically 1.6 with CZ extra features running on the source engine....

Not to defend the game but if you have been hammering a game every day for a month, you are going to get bored of it. That applies to any game. Except for maybe MMORPGS or really addictive online competitive games but that’s mostly down to human interaction/challenge.
