It doesn’t modify any of the games code. Sweetfx is just a post process effect that is layered on top of what the game produces. Its pretty much the same thing as getting an image and using photoshop to tweak the colours or add a layered affect on top of it to make it look like an oil painting.
All these unreal/cryengine demos with nintendo and sega assets are really making me appreciate Nintendo’s art style, because while these demos look impressive they don’t look great due to the art style.
