Fortunately, fans don't have to make many concessions, since there is always an option of un-censoring the game via patches that always conveniently pop up. Or you can buy the game directly from the publisher. That's what I did with Little Witch Romanesque.

Tsundere. Definitely tsundere :)

I understand the appeal of the X360 controller, but I never liked it's D-pad. Maybe I will try the upgraded version. My only efforts with controllers on a PC were to get my DS3 working. Well, I failed miserably, lol.

I just have to say: I am so glad to have family in Europe.

Rather then "West" you should tell her it is not coming to the US. The Europeans and Aussies will get to enjoy the smaller console. Heck, in the UK you can even build your own bundle for the regular console :)

That's incorrect. Many people around the internet are skipping on their new 3DS purchase until the smaller version is out. I am one of those.

1. The regular new 3DS has been out in Japan since October '14.

It's most likely this. If you want a new 3DS from an official retailer these days and they don't miraculously have a hidden stash of the regular-sized ones, you are stuck with "the board" (that's how I call 2DS, bite me) or the 3DS XL. No wonder the XL outsells the regular when that's the only 3DS out there.

Thank you for this great article, Jason!

Fire Emblem Awakening (again), a bit of Hearthstone, and I am trying to learn Prismata :)

But getting one from the region makes it easier to access the region's PSN, at least in my opinion. It was a huge hassle for me to set-up Japanese PSN on my US PS3, while I had no such issues on my Japanese Vita.

That cop clip was hilarious, especially with the commentary.

I am afraid that I have to disagree. The Oracle series is way better then the Minish Cap. Minish Cap is pretty good, don't get me wrong. But the Oracle series are so full of content and are appropriately challenging, too.

I think AVGN's reaction is more than appropriate here.

I simply don't understand how people can say "nobody cares" about something. Especially when that is clearly not true. Yes, Nintendo really rules the market in handhelds worldwide. We can debate why, but that's the fact. Still, in Japan the Vita beats (in terms of total sales) both XBoxes, PS4 and the WiiU. Heck in

Then why would they also sell the 2ds? No, my friend. NoE and Nintendo of Australia just make smarter business decisions.

Never said they can't. You are right about no-lock for games, but The systems are not completely region-free either. Movies, for example, are region-locked. Also having a Japanese Vita makes it easier to access Japanese PSN. Now, I am not saying it is impossible to access Japanese PSN on a US Vita, but it's not as

You don't need Elder Scrolls if you have Persona 4 :-P. But I know where you are coming from, I just don't like most western games save a few RPGs and turn-based strategy games. Luckily for me, there is enough to play on Vita, but there just might not be enough games to justify purchasing the system for you.

Interesting thought. With NoA you never know, but I believe there were some design rationale for that (see http://www.nintendojo.com/archives/inter…). Apparently, the Super Famicom was "too soft" and had "no edge." What a load of bull. I like the PAL/Japan design better.

But you already have some big releases announced for the N3DS, like Xenoblade Chronicles. I really think this is gonna be less like DSi vs. the original DS and more like GB Pocket vs. GB Color.
