Too bad that's not still the case. I have real trouble with South Africa vs. Australia on GeoGuessr sometimes. Although the parts that give me trouble are usually just boring stretches of road with no signs or cars or anything except exotic trees that I cannot identify.

Jackie Chan is great, that particular movie...not so much. And yet, a great time was had by all, so I certainly got my money's worth.

2 best: Went with a couple buddies in college to see "The Medallion" (Jackie Chan). Had the theater to ourselves except for a couple making out in the back row, and then they disappeared after a while, so we MSTed through the rest of the movie. The other one was going to see "Troll Hunter" in the local cool 2nd run

I watched the theatrical release for Daredevil back in the day, thought it was pretty mediocre, but heard the director's cut was better. Picked it up off a clearance rack and haven't watched it yet. Glad to hear another positive recommendation. Maybe I'll bump that up on my to-watch queue a bit.

Way back in the day (late 80's?), my parents were looking for a new enormous station wagon to replace the old enormous station wagon. They looked at one that someone was selling that my mom rather liked, until my dad said that it was "duck doo green". Somehow, that really turned my mom off the car. The Google suggests

Dendrite?

There, there, you're among your own people here, it's okay to admit that. You're not the only one.

Unfortunately I can only recommend this once. Brubaker's run on Cap is just soooo good and that page is one that's really stuck with me.

It says "much draft" and "very [something]" on the back. But you have to click through and embiggen to see it (and even then I can't read the last word).

Yeah, I saw that movie when it was in theaters and haven't seen it since. I didn't actually hate it, but it didn't leave a huge impression either way.

What's the GIF from? Looks scientifically...implausible. But cool.

"A Darkling Sea" by James L Cambias. Read about it here and/or on Scalzi's blog and ordered it from the library. Really interesting aliens that are actually alien. I'm about 3/4 of the way through and I'm not sure yet whether things are going to get resolved semi-happily or everybody's going to kill each other.

My current theory is that Goodnight Moon takes place within the fantasy world of the runaway bunny becoming a little boy (really, just a bunny with clothes). The presence of the bunny as fish picture in Goodnight Moon suggests that even in this new incarnation/world, the bunny retains memories of previous experiences

I am now going to refer to many common substances as "molecular". As I sit here at my molecular desk looking at stuff on my molecular LCD screen I feel so future-y. I think I'm going to go have some M-Coke (molecular Coca-Cola) now.

Yeah, me neither. Maaaaaybe if I went back and re-read.

Are you saying that the time-travel chart in the last Dr. McNinja update didn't entirely clarify things for you?

I don't even know what this is more specifically than a kei truck, but yeah, I agree.

I would like to purchase a kei truck with this sort of transmission. The horseshoe handle is a must, however.

Two wheels awesome?
