I think a better title would be “The Grille Isn’t the Only Problem”

Aren’t they about 3850lbs? Not light, but if 150lbs is 1 large poop for you, you may want to see a doctor.

I live in Oregon so EVs get another $2500 rebate. That makes this a $30,000 vehicle. For that you get better driving dynamics than a Tiguan plus MASSIVELY cheaper running costs. Electric is also just a better driving experience with instant torque at any speed. Then there is the convenience of home charging.

Honestly, I don’t mind the slow 0-60 time. A lot of drivers don’t need sub 7-8 second 0-60 times. Things go from happening slowly to happening very quickly with a hard accelerating car and if the driver isn’t paying attention, they can get into trouble in a hurry.

The ID4 is only 6 inches taller than a Golf and most of its weight is down low in the batteries. The ID4 is also RWD. But yes it has another 1000 lbs to contend with.

Your average consumer won’t care. It will feel quick due to its instant torque, which is enough. It’s easily fast enough to move with traffic.

Everyone always brings up short range for electric cars if they are sub 300 miles. Who is driving that far day to day?

Seriously

Light weight carbon bucket seats, that are power adjustable. The exercise in futility has commenced.

Having driven a few Ferraris and a few Miatas, the Miata is more fun.

If you believe a type 1 is even capable of 800 horsepower, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

Quick web search shows the least expensive M-Coupe (1999) at $24k w/ over 100k miles.

You’ve been out of the Z3M coupe market for a while, bud.

It is a great platform and I think the cooling system is now offered with a variety of much more bulletproof aftermarket solutions to eliminate the “every 100k” symptom.

Always a Nice price for a Reasonably priced Clownshoe. Had that motor in my 5 Series Wagon. Other than replace all the cooling system every 100K it was pretty bulletproof.

People make fun of the looks of these, but more small cars (especially RWD sports cars) should be hatchbacks. You already don’t have a lot of space due to the small footprint, so why not extend the roofline to make your fun car practical as well. As for this rare and low/reasonable-miles example, NP

“By wagon you mean the Tiguan, right?” - VW of America, probably.
