As a technician I'd say the iron is from the cylinder walls based on its low mileage. Chances are it has set for many months and also years on several occasions. It's fine. pull the plugs and soak with marvel mystery oil for a day. turn crank a bit every day for a week. Itll be fine but probably always an oil burner.

With a cold engine and cold oil that’s been sitting for years could take 15+ minutes to see oil up there. Even on a daily driver it could take several minutes to get oil up there with cold oil. There is a ton of leakage from bearings lifters etc and cold oil is thick and your fighting gravity. The lifters dont put out

He is complaining that theres no oil to the rockers.... The oil gets to the rockers via the pushrods... if you dont know anything about engines maybe dont give bad advice? How can a pump be bad with 40psi? it cant be come now.

The drill method doesnt always get oil all the way to the top of the pushrod. As a technician we would run the vehicle with the valve covers off to verify oil at rockers. If you have oil which you will because you have 40 psi then it's fine. I've had dozens of engines apart or replaced with junk yard units that took

You sir are my hero

It is suicidal to work on a vehicle with its weight put on a cinderblock. I know 2 guys had their cars (cars that weigh less) crush a cinderblock, one trapped him for 3 hour trapping his legs while doing brakes. other one just got out from under it when it collapsed. Please dont do this.

“Get fuel cost off the books" wait you mean when they fuel their vehicles with electricity from the grid it will be free?

If only I could of predicted this and warned you! Oh wait I did, and it was the highest liked comment on the last article you did. Please also replace your oil separator before it trashes your main seal and you need to pull the transmission to fix it.

I concur, I meant to say “if you’re in the left lane and you’re being passed on the right"

As a technician ignore all this advice from people who dont know. That cotter pin will last indefinitely as you have it installed.

If people are passing you on the right at over 100mph then you’re the one who is a bad driver because you’re camping in left lane and not letting faster traffic pass you on the left. You’re the asshole.

Audi A8 L option starting in 2006 for usa. Sunroof was a solar panel so couldnt see through and powered little vent fans. Been around just rare.

sheat metal? Fiberglass

EV and ICE vehicles operate the exact same way I just discribed... The booster holds backup boost so when everything is dead or broken the brakes are just as good as the engine and electrics running... for 2-3 pedal pushes at least then you’re own your own just like on an ICE vehicle.

Lol. Would they? couldnt it just a hydraulic brake master cylinder (foot operated pump) like every car ever made? Yes. Sure the boost would need an electric vacuum pump(like modern cars) that would fail if electrics quit but the vacuum booster stores plenty of boost for when theres not power like all cars have always

Did you just say a hayabusa motor geared correctly will pull the hummer at the same performance as the hummer engine? Wow, dumbest thing I’ve heard in years. That isnt how gearing works. It’s not magic...

Youre a wonderful person, I never thought I would see the day that people think bailing out looters and violent protesters was better than helping the businesses destroyed by those looters.

Coming from a Porsche shop owner you want the LN oil feed kit. I can give you my cost at $1,420.? if you want it.

This all seems dangerous and stupid when everything will have to close again because of a second outbreak, but BMW is still forging ahead to reopen next week.

It's ok, I minored in economics and even I dont get it.
