Some might say global thermonuclear... (insert appropriate Matthew Broderick pic here)

Homonym/punctuation nitpick before the other dorks pile on: “thermonuclear”, not “thermal-nuclear” or “thermo-nuclear”.

the Sun’s source also notes that the couple grew apart after coming into more money than either of them knew what to do with through the sale of Witherspoon’s production company Hello Sunshine

The requirement of many police departments to keep their body and car cameras running at all times is perhaps one of the biggest contributors to eliminating some of the corruption whereas in the past they would give other officers a break and let them off the hook. Now if they were to do something like that its all on

She probably didn’t, but also she strikes me as the kind of person who’d still get a smile or a chuckle out of it herself.

Came here to say the same!

Thank you! Price points are irrelevant.
A $500k 1000SF Condo.
A $500k 2000SF Townhome.
A $500k 3000SF Single Family Home.

I bet the smaller, more expensive place has more luxury finishes. I bet the larger single family home places a premium on space. They are the same price point. That doesn’t make them all luxury homes.

Agreed. It must be the Chik-Fil-A/My Pillow crowd buying these because considering myself not an asshole, I’d not drive a Tesla were one given to me. Also, aside from Model S, they’re damned ugly.

Came here to say this. Have a Star SIR!

Well said price does not always equal quality. Just to start an argument, lol, look at the prices of “audiophile” stuff like cables, insert type.

Yes, exactly.  These are not luxury cars.  It’s like calling a 1500 sq. ft. rancher a luxury home because it sits on three expensive acres and sells for $2MM.  Expensive doesn’t equal luxury.

Can we just give Tesla a pseudo-luxury brand rating? Because a cheap interior with a big screen is no where close to what brands are offering now

This post leaves the important bits out. From a Dodge press release:

Red Green colorblind here. Can confirm that we have this power.

That sounds more like colorblindness.

It’s easier to just drive an ambulance, as covered in the documentary, The Cannonball Run.

Yeah, I love a solid bit of wry hackery, but this is not one to fuck around with.

I worked for a city road crew for one summer in my teens. We’d take lunch in the city garage with the mechanics who worked on the cop cars. One was installing the LED array in a cop car, and I asked how much it would cost for me to get one. His reply was spot on: “About $10,000 and three months.”

To add to this, a lot of the preemption enabled traffic lights have surveillance cameras. IR is invisible to the naked eye but very much visible to cameras, and all of them that I have seen do save and flag preemption events in the surveillance software, usually for debugging when they don’t work with emergency

That was always the intention. It was created by music industry lobbyists solely to act as a one-sided bullying tool, which intentionally lacked any real safeguards or serious notification requirements. They and the politicians who created didn’t stop for one second to think about the ramifications or potential abuses
