Anything that kills that hideous video game dashboard is a good thing. I know the future of cars is staring at a glowing white rectangle of social media feeds and meaningless “data” forever, but I’ll take anything that delays that dystopia by any amount of time at all.

Pretty much any of them, except Tesla.
Tesla could set a six-minute flat time and it wouldn’t change the fact that Elon Musk is a massive asshole that I’d never give a dime to.
For context, Tesla took an (allegedly) stripped-down racecar version of their road car modded for speeds that their production vehicles aren’t capable of, and still only managed to set an unofficial, unproven time that is slower than a C6 Corvette did eight years ago.
Yeah, he did.

Putting things in context, this unverified time from Tesla in an unknown car is about the same speed as a Corvette ZR1 did ten years ago, and the verified time from Porsche is basically the same as a Honda Civic Type R.
I’m a little less impressed with EV speeds than I was before.
How well do the touchscreens replace physical controls? Does it cause you to pay more attention inside the car than outside to the road?
