All I want from cars is a big “turn off all screens” button, and a couple analog gauges with a dimmer.

What’s your demographic?

As good as the performance and price sounds, that ridiculous boy racer interior just ruins it. It looks like Nickelodeon hired the set designer from Minority Report to create a car interior, then described it over the phone to a drunk teenager interning at Mercedes for the summer.

Voice control is even better. Another reason automakers should just give up on their infotainment systems and let Apple CarPlay / Android Auto take over all those functions.

Both generations of the Probe were among the best-looking cars Ford has ever made. I’ve got a real soft spot in my heart for them. If I had my druthers, though, I’d like to have a first-gen.

A lot of them, yup.

Even at a discount price, there’s no excuse for this.

The answer was helpfully supplied by Torch in an earlier article today:

Few cars look equally good in coupe and hatchback, also. The Silvia / 240SX pulled that trick off as well.

I hate to say this, but President* Trucknuts was almost right for once. I mean, he had no idea what he was talking about, and was wrong about why, but in a “Kids Say the Darndest Things” kind of way, it was close.

You’re welcome

“There is nothing less punk in the world than having confidence”

Do you own one? Know anyone who does? Or are you just living in the 1970s and have no idea what you’re talking about?

My grandfather bought an XR4Ti when I was a kid, and I grew up with that car. I don’t have it today, but when I find one to buy again, it will stay in the family for good.

It sounds good on the track, but at idle it’s downright agricultural.

And the Honda E prototype. Minimalist, yet elegant. (Although they could tone it down a bit with some of the screens)

Thank you for calling the interior what it is: spartan.
