You could have stopped at Eva Green rules.

While I agree with the content of the article, I take objection with the way you frame the discussion about auteur theory as something that has never been had before.

Fuck Whedon and Hitchcock: no art is worth the horrors these women had to endure.

It’s ok, it’s not like every time someone watches a movie of his he gets an extra five years of life or anything,

They don’t, and honestly I get why - the same Hollywood and media that is now ripping them to shreds was propping them up for YEARS. The Cosby stories were known for DECADES. Spacey for several years. (There are a lot of other Hollywood stars with similar skeletons that have somehow skated by. *Cough* John Travolta

I really don’t think they understand concepts like consent, or that anyone besides them has emotions that matter.  If they actually understood why people were upset they’d be able to fake remorse better and stop saying such stupid things

The thing about that is that no one who was allowed to have their opinion publicly expressed had anything nice to say about Bill Cosby. Rumors dogged that guy for years, but it didn’t matter because pre-internet, television studios controlled information with a ruthless grip. As soon as information flow became freer,

NAMBLA canceled. Couldn't afford the PR hit.

I don’t think we need to totally ignore his recent more work.

Practice social distancing or you could contract Kevin Spacey.

why would anyone invite this person to speak to their group?  unless...nambla?

It’s too bad Kevin Spacey died in 1998, right after he completed his voice work on A Bug’s Life.

Yeah, he’s a middling fantasy writer who writes wish-fufilment for people who pair goggles and top hats. He had a bit of goth cred in his youth due to Sandman and Good Omens, but those people have aged into polyamorous comic-con goers with Etsy businesses selling plush Tardis and they still think their tastes and

Eh, I mean maybe? But just as likely the “off” is the well-documented stuff we already know: he’s not great at long-term relationships or monogamy (in this he has a large chunk of the human race for company) and he doesn’t like to talk about his family’s involvement with Scientology (and who can blame him).

People had a lot of negative things to say about Bill Cosby for a very long time, it’s just that nobody spread them very far because they didn’t want to think about it.

I kind of feel like their marriage was the result of a series of farcical misunderstandings and he was simply too English to correct the priest before he declared them man and wife.

People had lots of red flag things to say about Cosby. He did a whole comic set on Spanish Fly, which was basically about giving a woman roofies. He led a life of red flags.

To be fair, “have me divorce Neil Gaiman” was one of the rewards available on her Patreon.

Peeing might have been a hassle, but that design for a stitched-together costume looked really cool.  That’ll be hard to beat.
