Wow, so somebody was still actively maintaining AIM. I just figured it was another case of an old server getting walled up while still powered on.
I can remember for a few years there, before FB had messaging and before skype existed, that AIM was a really great way to keep in touch with my friends when I was in college, and couldn’t afford to put a lot of minutes on my old cell phone. It was a nice thing to have there.
Does that mean all the original screennames are available again? Dibs on “420Fart69"
Does anyone remember the name of those intense, multi-page profiles you could make and embed in your buddy profile that were one step short of a Myspace? You could do obnoxious Geocities-type HTML tricks like having a text banner that trailed off of your cursor. I remember using them in 2002-2004. It was basically a …

It only had to shut down as Marvel has been cracking down on anyone using it’s licences.
A/S/L?
You’ve got death!
That‘d be quite a Kickstarter XD
I’ve pretty much accepted that net neutrality is done for. As one of my favorite cartoons said “You can’t fight city hall”

If everyone donates a few bucks, we might buy just enough congressmen.
There was an American remake of Spaced?
The American version of “The Office” was a mild success.
Father Ted was a show about Ireland, with almost 100% Irish actors and creators, made by British television. Because Irish tv wouldnt make it.
Sorry, but that would just be a remake of the British comedy “Do Shut Up”.
The thing about NBC is, they always try to walk it in.
Technically they are British shows because they were made for Britain’s Channel 4.
Ab Fab with Roseanne Barr, removed the drugs, drinking and sex.
