I don’t understand this narrative at all. Fox was as unwilling to do R rated movies until Deadpool was successful (and it was only made after the green screen test went viral, before that it was in development he’ll and they absolutely ruined the character in Origins).
Aside from ESPN, Disney didn’t really own much that appeals to adults. I think part of this was a play to take control of content aimed at people over 25.
I’m torn between the fact that Snow Crash is awesome and the fact that that does not equate to me wanting to live in it.
