I don’t know if there’s an AV club ‘take’, but I still like Anna Faris. She’s one of those actors who’s invariably the most talented one in anything she’s in, but has never quite got the scripts she deserves.

The source material is a great children’s story and no, neither of the adaptations so far live up to it (though the Gene Wilder version came closer). There’s also a stage musical which got good reviews - that may well be the best version, and is surely the most family-friendly.

True, but the Olympics is an inherently nationalistic event, and always has been. They don’t have all the national costumes and anthems and flags for nothing. It’s never been about celebrating individual talent.

It was always there. The new film is just a revisionist take that makes explicit the violence inherent in rabbit society.
