Oh man, that was great.

Given how rightwing Hitchens became late in life, I can imagine him reluctantly endorsing Trump. On the other hand, even just before his death he was still deriding Bush, so who knows. Either way, he'd be a lot sharper, wittier and more insightful than, say, Piers Morgan.

That would be that raging narcissism Stewart was talking about - even more than most politicians, Trump loves being made to feel big. He's not so keen on people protesting his speeches, though… or implying he has a small penis, he really hates that.

I have to disagree. I feel like both Swift and West have absurdly over-inflated opinions of themselves, their brilliance and their importance to the world; while Kardashian knows exactly who and what she is, and doesn't pretend to have any talent beyond her prodigious posterior.

I gave up on GoT some time ago, but that's making it really tempting to come back…

I think the movie you want is District 9. Or the first part of it at least.

I remember the first Mission Impossible movie as being pretty smart, actually - as in, it had a way more complex plot than was necessary. Audiences complained, and the sequel was the big dumb action movie that we all really wanted.

London's been destroyed in fiction many, many times already, several times in the last year alone. We'll do fine.

No. But you obviously haven't spent much time on TVTropes, which is probably where most people know it from.

My London school had a rowing team, and when one time a boat sank and they fell in the Thames, they all had to get tested for Weil's disease. There's a reason why the Olympic rowing events were held upriver in the much cleaner waters of Henley.

I don't want to take anything away from your heartfelt tribute to Ali. But if he really was 'the only high-profile Muslim I ever read speak out against ISIS', then I can only figure you aren't aware of any other high-profile Muslims. Just about every Muslim leader in the West has condemned Isis, and most in the Arab

Honestly, my guess for why they went for an all-female cast is not so much 'fake progressiveness', but in order to try to escape from the shadow of the original and avoid direct comparisons with it. If that was the goal, it's pretty clear it failed completely.

Shoulda just cast Elba in the first place, and now it's too late.

The saddest thing about that film is that it's the closest thing there's been to a female superhero movie. And it still has a freaking dude in the lead!

I can't be the only one who always reads his name as Nicolas Wingdings Refn.

Makeup and CGI can make an actor look older fairly convincingly, but we have not yet reached the stage when they can make someone look younger in a non-creepy way.

Yeah, plus it felt kind of icky. (The reaction shot from the guys in the car was great, though.)

He can always kill him off again. He's good at that.

Yeah, I missed Phil. (Do the Avengers even know he's alive? Seems like a dick move not telling them.)

I didn't really believe the character arcs in this movie - everyone did pretty stupid things, especially Tony Stark at the end. Would he really be flipped into turning on Steve that easily? But I understand that these comic plotlines always involve a bunch of heroes being artificially forced into conflict, and the
