Truthfully. They were made to get the intake out of the dust of vehicles in convoy. There were water based uses for them obviously (especially militarily), but they were popularized because of their ability to keep the filters and bowls from getting clogged with dust.

It still amazes me that FCA, of all manufacturers, has one of the best infotainment systems in their uConnect. How they got that right, and so much else wrong, would make a great story.

While I agree that we need to be respectful of requests to not take pictures or selfies it would be great if we as society could get over the whole sacred place thing and stop assigning unnecessary value to places when in the end it doesn’t really matter

I’m surprised by how many people think exhaust wrap is only to keep surrounding area temperature down. Its main purpose is actually to keep the gasses hot inside to increase the velocity.

Wrangler is the only option. Run with the top off or down when the weather is right. 4WD when the weather is not. You could buy something else, but, you’d be wrong.

Cargo holds occupy the same pressure vessel as the passenger cabin. The entire airplane is pressurized as the same system. There isn’t a way to depressurize only the cargo area and even if you could planes don’t fly in space, there’s still oxygen at cruise altitudes.

I’m pretty sure the bed was designed around the typical cargo, a Yeti cooler.

My current DD, a ‘16 WRX, is also way more fun at “extra-legal” speeds. At 25-35 mph, it kind of grates.
