If your concern is power, then you want to power off your wifi radio and just use the storage that’s onboard. Streaming a movie uses more power than watching one stored locally.

It’s a shame that solid state storage hasn’t advanced enough to allow you to carry several movies with you on your device and that the only way to get access is over the network.
