High noon and Shane were both nominated for best picture, but neither won.

The Green Knight was not my cup of tea. Maybe I didn’t get it, but it also felt like they had a Dadist vibe, not to be understood. Which, to me, is just annoying and feels like lazy storytelling. More like the filmmaker couldn’t think of an answer rather than “you just don’t get it.”

Do we know if Larry Fessenden is involved? It seems like he’s the one who gave Until Dawn its quirk and genre chops.

Do we know whether Larry Fessenden is contributing to the script for this new game

I caught a random episode of Fooly Cooly when I was home from college for the summer, and I had no idea what I was watching. That experience of stumbling on something inexplicable and great in the middle of the night is the part of pre-streaming TV that I miss the most.

With any luck, Sam Raimi gets to make whatever the hell he wants after this movie makes a billion dollars with its billion cameos. Like, let him make a musical with chainsaws. Anything.

...I hope Marvel doesn’t fall into the trap of making every film a giant crossover, fan-service event movie.

Good for Pixar. Not much of a surprise that a studio that speaks up for human rights can also tell stories that ring true in human terms. And their track record, in those terms, puts the parent company to shame, at least in recent years.

I just don’t get the love of Nolan films. I’ve seen all his films except Insomnia and Following and I am always disappointed in Nolan films. Every time one comes out I swear I won’t see it because I haven’t really liked any of the others and then the word of mouth or just being on a streaming service I pay for suckers

The fandom hell we find ourselves in is begging for a deus ex machina to break its ever exhausting cycle. At the very least, we could’ve avoided this if more folks understood the purpose of fanfiction.

Part of me wonders if FromSoft (or the localization team) knew exactly what they were doing. After years of terrible “but hole” jokes, they must know a thing or two about what will get the player-base riled up.

I probably come from the perspective of an adult who approaches trying to help a teen from the approach of making an effort to try to understand them before I offer anything remotely resembling actual assistance. That’s because I remember what being an arrogant teen was like. They will always think they know more than

It just clicked for me. I felt the actors really nailed the bickering family aspects of a bunch of immortals experiencing so much history.

Yes, the title of this movie is quite brave, considering.

“There will be no scripts on the night!” Dying.

When a kid screams as you, an adult “YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND” and you seem as dismissive as you are - I hate to say this - but I think you really don’t.

No images, no context, just her reciting the first four lines of the poem which are as follows: “To see a World in a Grain of Sand, And a Heaven in a Wild Flower, Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand, And Eternity in an hour.” To her, that was what she wanted the movie to be. It worked.

I’m on the fence about this article: I agree with the defense of “casual” players, but the defense of gacha games misses the point. We probably all know people who have a healthy relationship to those games, who enjoy building characters and use the micro-transactions as an occasional treat for themselves. But the

DDLs 3 wins and 6 noms would lend credence to the idea that staying inside a character until the last shot works. He’s notorious for staying in character for months at a time and going to extremes to maintain a persona.

I still haven’t seen more than a few minutes of Raised By Wolves. Is it as batshit as it looks?
