I do think there is some cause for concern that the readership and authors of every major genre are becoming majority female, sometimes by a wide margin depending on the genre.

This was the perfect game for that numb pandemic summer, when I didn’t have the attention-span to finish movies, read novels, or remember the point of sidequests after ten minutes.

This makes sense. Beneath his edgelord exterior, Mark Millar has always told stories that would be perfectly at home in a heartwarming family movie from the 1980s: orphans in search of validation, children who bring some magic back into their families, has-been dreamers who make good.

I’m still a bit baffled as to why this game is getting so much attention? Lack of anything else other than MHR? Because it hit Game Pass? SE is the publisher? My friends and I played it and were pretty underwhelmed.

Yeah, the nerf hurts enough that I’m back to using Temporal Blade as my go-to skill. Meanwhile, I like that Outriders has become the broken-ass AAA game that we’re rooting for. It’s a welcome break from the broken-ass AAA games that we don’t like.

This glitch has me terrified that all my disgusting Temporal Blade buffs will vanish in an instant. But I keep playing. I should really switch back to AC or something until they work this shit out. But AC does not own nearly this hard.

Perhaps Scream 4 looks better in hindsight because the past decade of franchise filmmaking has normalized so many things that made it feel stilted on release.

I feel like the Netflix shows suffered from trying too hard to get genuine “talent” as opposed to just a bunch of friends who liked to joke around together.

I must admit I’m less enthusiastic, but not enough to choose nothing over hit-or-miss episodes. I threw down some cash and added-on the MST3k popcorn bucket, but not nearly as much as I threw down for the first revival.

It will be interesting to see whether Hodgson can drum up the same kind of enthusiasm that greeted the last revival campaign.

It’s interesting that black-and-white has become a way to underline the cultural standing of artsier-than-usual genre movies.
