I’ve always wondered how much impact a soccer coach can have in a game. You have 3 substitutions, you often have to keep one of those in your back pocket for injury reasons. What else can you do, i mean In Game. So much is up to the players themselves to create, it seems. 

Sometimes you need to take a shot from outside the box to establish that threat. That way, the next time you are in that position, you can take a stab (fake the shot), the defender will bite and you can go around him and have an open path into the box.
