So, I voted for Bernie. Not because I am in anyway a Stan for him (I don’t particularly care for his more vitriolic online army). His platform just happens to be the closest to mine.

“A lot of it has to do with how we talk to each other. Compliments on a woman’s appearance, that some men, including me, might have once incorrectly thought were okay, were never okay. Not then and certainly not today.”
I just threw up in my mouth a little.
Personally think it’s worse when men just splash some water on their hands. Now you’re just spreading your germs around more!
That makes sense. And yeah, I didn’t think he was trying to erase trans people or anything. The wording was just kind of funky.
“basically any non-white, cisgendered person who is not voting for him.”
I mean, the most generous reading of that discussion would be that she misinterpreted what he said. I could kind of believe that because Bernie is very direct and sometimes the context and nuance of what he’s saying gets lost in his rhetorical style.
I like Warren, but she hasn’t run a very good campaign. The shift in M4A, while probably smart policy, just made her look wishwashy in a culture that prides itself on sticking your fingers in your ears and refusing to consider the possibility that maybe you are wrong and need to adjust your ideas. Then her attack on…
This is a very valid point. There’s plenty of election meddling here at home. And improving our election infrastructure could take care of a lot of problems.
HK-47!!! Destroy all the meatbags!!
YOU CANT EFFING SEE THE EFFING THINGS!! HOW THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO HIT SOMETHING ROLLING ALL AROUMD YOUR FEET THAT YOU CANT SEE!!!
Such an incredible and important figure of the CRM that never really got the recognition he deserved because of the homophobia of the time. Held back and pushed to the shadows so many times simply because of his sexuality.
It is reductive though. First of all, why does rap get called out when virtually all music has a loose relationship with the truth? Second, rap is rooted in black oral storytelling traditions like toasting.
I don’t get this “gay people are trying to ruin black masculinity” thing. Especially since it is usually used as a way to say that white people are trying to destroy black masculinity with gayness.
I get that, I’ve gained a lot of weight the past few years, and am definitely not the best looking guy. Kind of look like an ogre most of the time. But I still feel really good about myself when I put in the effort to look good. Also, it’s about showing a little bit of respect for where you are at. But yeah, I hear…
It’s gross. And it’s upsetting because you know that if Ari or Lizzo or any of the other women showed up like they didn’t spend all day getting ready they’d get dragged for days.
Ok, but Lewis Capaldi’s ... look ... if you really want to call it that, was actually a crime. Like dude looks like he fell out of bed, grabbed some white tee that had been on his floor for no less than three days, threw a jacket over it and said fuck all else. Jesus, please at least try. You’re at the freaking…
A lot of the in-depth profiles I’ve seen have pretty consistently noted that evangelicals may not like Trump’s moral flaws, but they are willing to set them aside as long as he continues to support “pro-Evangelical” policy. As long as they win in the long run, it doesn’t really matter how they get there.
I was listening to some pundits on either CNN or NPR talking about how one of the things in Bernie’s favor is he hasn’t actually been properly vetted yet. In 2016, no one thought he’d actually get the nod so no one really vetted his policy ideas. And no one’s really gone after him in this primary either.
