I think they all keep forgetting there are black candidates on stage. I remember in the first debate DeBlasio saying he was the only one up there who could uniquely understand police killing of black persons (or something like that) because he has a black son, and I was like ... “Um ... Cory is standing RIGHT THERE.”

I mean, yeah we elected Clinton and Obama to two terms. We even held the house/senate a few times. But we’ve also been sliding further from the left over the last 40 years as well. That rise of “neoliberalism” you mentioned festers today, and I think it contributes to a general malaise among liberals.

Yeah, don’t get me wrong, if someone like Biden gets the nod I will (however grudgingly) vote for him. But to see it start before we are even into the actual primaries is just really sad.  

I mean, would love to take him as our QB2, but I’d really prefer for him to get a starting gig somewhere. 

That sign was created so people would be willing to rally behind Biden, not because Biden has qualities that would make him a good president, but because people created this false narrative that Biden is the only one who can beat Trump.

In Long Beach last night, the CA Dems are there. Running around with signs saying “Anyone But Trump” and I realized how truly sad and pathetic Dems are that they get so excited about settling for anybody.

My former professor did the illustration for the Kindred adaptation, so I am a little biased. I just submitted the graphic novel adaptation of Kindred. I think it would be great, especially with how relevant its material is in current socio-political discussions.
