Because EVs don’t have a big engine in the front of the car to take the brunt of a head-on collision, it could theoretically be a pretty significant weak spot for the car.

I’ve said it so many times I might barf, but making hybrid and electric cars weird just for the sake of being weird and quirky and different IS DUMB.

I’m thinking the mandate that airbags have to adequately protect un-belted occupants is kinda ridiculous at this point. Before we had variable deployment technology, air bags hurt a lot of people because of the extra deployment force needed to keep an un-belted person from launching through the windshield.

I love how that seat-belt plug has DO NOT USE as a disclaimer.

It also won’t be coming to North America. I guarantee it. 😞

No. We need more 2-door convertible electric sports cars. There are way too many electric 4-door sedans on the market.

The flat floors are intended specifically to eliminate ground effects, not work as one. I believe Red Bull’s significant rake is designed to try to get some kind of venturi effect, but it is minimal at best due to the flat floor. Allowing modification and vanes will make a massive difference in downforce.

Almost all the cars I’ve owned were built in the OBD II era and all of them had cruise control while none had stability control.

OK, here’s my anecdote: I use CC religiously to avoid speeding tickets. My previous daily driver had no nannies. No ABS, manual transmission, built in 1993. Yadda yadda yadda. Driving in the rain with the CC on is all good EXCEPT if you hit a deep puddle with only 1 tire. The puddle will tend to cause the car to yaw…

Even if you’re faster than the leaders, you are NOT on the lead lap thus you should yield to those who have no effect on your position.
