The AV Club: Your best source for week-old news! Now without an extremely low-volume of comments!

Remember when Demetri Martin had a show on Comedy Central?

Correction: The first female Doctor was Joanna Lumley.

If the AV Club wasn’t completely dead before, it certainly is now.

It’s always a holiday on AV Club since the Kinja switchover.

A yawning cat. The perfect visualization of the AV Club comment sections nowadays.

Does “viewing content on TV” include endlessly scrolling through Netflix’s terrible user interface for 30 minutes, finding nothing that you either haven’t watched already or isn’t complete garbage, giving up and just going on YouTube to look at cat videos?

A year ago, in the before time, this article would’ve easily had 200+ comments filled to the brim with Simpsons quotes.

My best guess is that the filmmakers desperately wanted Kevin Hart as the short protagonist, but had to settle for Lil Rel Howery.

Welcome to 3 weeks ago, AV Club.

I like the AV Club has finally realized that hardly anyone reads and/or comments on their Newswires anymore, so they’re condensing down what would’ve been 10 Newswires that would’ve gotten 5 comments each into 1 Newswire that gets maybe 10 comments.

Whenever I hear about Tom Arnold, I remember listening to NPR show from a few years ago, where he was talking to the interviewer about his time on Roseanne and all the cocaine used to do.

AV Club is doing a soft rebrand as a Hollywood insider site?

It’s a twofer: AV Club is contractually obligated to run Esposito stories, no matter how inconsequential and it features a video, which is in line with Univision’s vision for their websites going forward.

Unrelated: Apparently Univision is slashing $100 million from its online budget and has begun buying out contracts of the Gawker people.

I consider DS9 and Voyager my favorite series.

Nope, didn’t enjoy the 2 episodes I watched. Try harder, troll.

Discovery? I dunno, lack of character development, bad editing, bad direction, bad science, unnecessary and easy to see coming plot twists, empty fanservice in some places while at the same time ditching big chunks of canon, etc.

You’re missing the biggest news out of all of this, Hollywood Reporter is reporting that one of those new shows may be a TNG sequel miniseries and could bring back Patrick Stewart.
