Honestly it is a damn good game. It’s the bugs that bring it down. Question is how much do bugs cost a review score? I guess that is subjective especially because not everyone gets the same bugs.

No, I’m not, I’m just a person with 10+ years of professional writing experience and literal awards. He’s virtue signaling instead of providing an actual review for the product, which he was provided in good faith. Notice how the Xbox Series X review doesn’t feel the need to bring this crap up? We understand that

Somewhere in this article there was a genuine review of the Playstation 5. It was of course buried between the multiple ‘I feel depressed so all of you need to feel depressed too!’ and ‘You need to feel bad about buying entertainment products’ comments the author made.

Maybe in the context of one their many articles regarding social issues and gaming - but shoe horning it into the actual console review is just weird.

That’s why I got mine. My black ass could end up unemployed or dead whenever, so why not enjoy it?

Absurd addition to this review.  Are we going to mention ongoing tragedies in every review of luxury items and consumer products?  "Here's an RTX 3080, but let's reflect on the pandemic that has killed 240k Americans.  You probably should feel bad for buying this"

Yep, what I want to read about in my reviews of products is the state of the world and politics.  BEST part of the review.

Review is needlessly political and the end but I am looking forward to getting my hands on one of these next week.

28 days later.

Interesting observation: these are all really dark and heavy shows.

You’re point about capitalism’s link to the psyche is so spot on because the normal thing I want to do more than anything is go to a mall. I want to go to a mall, try on clothes, point at pretty shiny things I’ll never be able to afford, and end the day at the food court. Buying stuff hits that little dopamine button

So finally a Terminator v Robocop fighting game.

All I’ve ever wanted since the return of MK with IX was FRIENDSHIPS to make a return. With every game I say to myself, “MAYBE THIS WILL BE THE ONE!” Reading this article at first I thought I wouldn’t get it because I’m done with this generation of MK and I rarely return to games but now. . Now I’m not so sure. Is

I can’t speak for myself, but a lot of the praise The Last of Us received was because of how Naughty Dog was able to get people emotionally invested into the story.

Its definitely on the cusp. Its almost the worst sounding trash I have ever read as far as leaks are concerned, and sadly when leaks sound bad, almost always the end product is as well.

This game is a complete disaster. Jason’s article with this quote in regards to poor focus tests for the game and an increased workload “Parts of the narrative weren’t resonating with players, who said they weren’t fond of characters that the writers hoped would be likable”.

Wolfenstein 3D had a nuanced and fair representation of Mecha Hitler.

In short: there aren’t real heroes in war. Or rather, the real heroes are the ones fighting for their (and their loved ones’) lives, not the ones calling the shots.

Another useless take from kotaku.

god, i love The Double. wish Ayoade would direct again
