Agreed. I don’t mind the idea of the event, but the furniture is terrible, and way too many fish/balloons/pitfalls end up being eggs when I’d rather they be something valuable. And there is no need for egg hat/shirt/shoes for each type of egg when customization is a thing in this game. Players should only have to make

The worst part is, if you’re a northern hemisphere player, this shit is also distracting from the cherry blossom event going on, which has actually tasteful and good items you could be crafting instead.

Yeah, I saw that comment. I’d been wondering about that, but hadn’t gotten around to testing. tbh, crafting it is tedious as hell. I wish we could bulk-craft. All that damned text and animations... 😫 (Thankfully, button mashing speeds up the animations, but it doesn’t do much to help.)

Just play Apples to Apples.  CAH only has cards that are there for shock value.  AtA's cards run the gamut so you're not just repeating the same stuff all the time.

I would be okay with them having this overload of egg shit if it was for like.. an hour or two a day. Take that hour or two to hunt for eggs, and be done with it.

My big issue is the vagueness of the event.  He says you have to craft all the Bunny Day DIY Recipies, but that doesn’t include the outfits only the furniture, and also doesn’t say how much there is to craft in total.  I don’t want to end up on the day of the event and not finish it because I missed something I had no

He also had the audacity to say the federal stockpile is not for the states? Who the fuck is it for then? The parts of America that aren’t states like Puerto Rico and Guam (haha like Trump would ever help Puerto Rico).

“So what was the answer?”

It’s a small thing but I really did appreciate Connie and Steven getting to kiss. Like, we all knew that they liked each other from basically the start, but I really hoped they’d show something romantic aside from “well Stevonnie exists right?” and that peck on the cheek in the movie.

Someone commented earlier that they hoped it would be Rebecca Sugar as Steven’s therapist. I’d like to imagine that’s how it goes.

Everything about Onion is a mystery I don't want to know the answer to. :-)

I thought it was pretty interesting that they showed Volleyball (Pink Pearl) in the greenhouse but deliberately covered the cracked half of her face (she was holding a vase of flowers over it the whole time) so we couldnt see if she had healed or not. I guess Rebecca’s point in doing that was to suggest it doesnt

This really was an epilogue designed to leave you with a melancholic feeling. It’s appropriate to something as bittersweet as aging and moving away from home, but it’s a tough place to leave a character as relentlessly cheerful as Steven.

I found that really poignant! Cookie Cat’s journey was sort of a metaphor for the whole show.

I'm really going to miss this show. Now that it's ending, I also kind of feel like a part of the "old AV Club" is gone for me as well. We used to invade the Adventure Time comments and talk about the show when AV Club for inexplicable reasons dropped it's coverage. From time to time I'd add my own stray

The fact that the outro video/music ended up being Steven driving away from Beach City and the way this last episode meshed into what we had seen at the end of each episode all season? Incredible. Outstanding.

Right after Steven drives past the Big Donut, where all of the Beach Citizens have gathered to say goodbye, Onion goes out into the street, and we can see that he is wearing a (Steven's?) cheeseburger backpack.

If you pause when Steven is closing his suitcase, you can see some of the items inside it. There’s something with the Fish Stew Pizza logo, something that says “Keep Beach City Weird,” a Ranger Guy G.U.Y.S. action figure, an old-looking ship in a bottle (perhaps evoking William Dewey’s discovery of Beach City), a

“Be the Steven you want to see in the world.”

The homemade Cookie Cats were a nice way to go full circle, alluding to the first episode of Steven Universe while also showing that Steven has grown: no longer relying on the Gems for the cookies, he can make his own and give them to the Gems.
