I actually had a pretty good weekend after a very, very, very long week (6 days of work, two days (inclusive) of school, a funeral, and a poorly attended Open Mic Night); my girlfriend came over and we didn't leave the house.

My family went out to Peter Luger's for my mom's birthday, and I saved the bone from the Steak For Two. Using that and some scraps, I made a pot of beef stock, from which I will make some onion soup later in this week.
I also made chicken cutlets yesterday using my grandmother's recipe, and tacos using my own recipe.

I had my first sour beer last weekend, on tap at a local brewery. It was like drinking vinegar, but less potent, and in a good way.

I made a pot roast in the slow cooker, and it came out very well. I also roasted some new potatoes in the toaster oven as an accompaniment, and they were delicious. This weekend is probably going to see a lot of salad.

I really enjoyed Punk Rock And Trailer Parks, and am glad someone else did too! Trashed was also quite entertaining.

Fuck funerals. I've been to far too many of them lately, and not enough… what's the opposite of a funeral? An orgy?
