“Rarely has a blockbuster managed to score so many Oscar nominations, especially in the 21st century.”
“Rarely has a blockbuster managed to score so many Oscar nominations, especially in the 21st century.”
Bill Clinton’s side piece.
Gerwig is also the only director ever whose first three solo-directed films have been nominated for Best Picture.
I like Stewart. I’m happy to have him back, especially with this being an election year.
“Did you choke back a sob when Sgt. Warren “Skip” Muck and Pfc. Alex Penkala were killed instantly (and together) by an artillery barrage in Band Of Brothers?”
And, in real life. Don’t forget that.
In my experience, there’s an alarming lack of financial literacy and basic understanding of macroeconomics here in the States. FWIW unlike other giant corporations, Apple actually IS sitting on a mountain of cash that they can technically spend on anything (or at least they were when we studied them in school ~7 years…
I don’t understand why so many people seem to think “high market valuation = flush with cash they can spend on anything” but okay sure let’s go with it.
Yeah... I don’t get the whole “They have a bunch of money, so of course they should have made this!” concept. I’m sure there are lots of projects they turn down, some get further down the road towards production than others. Their track record overall has been pretty good in the end.
It is not, in fact, an idiom.
Business Makes Business Decision
You’re so wildly unfunny.
Read the interview. It doesn’t sound like that at all. It’s an answer to a direct question, and Eccleston has never been one to shy away from calling out what he perceived as bullshit from other actors, directors and producers in the past.
This whole confession was bizarrely inspired by Eccleston praising intimacy coordinators.
Oh, dude, people with a lot of time/sadness and minimal actual lives probably nailed it down an hour ago.
Eh, that or someone legit tried to malign him and he’s pissed about it.
It’s AVClub; everything is bizarre to them if it doesn’t fit their very narrow wheelhouse.
I think it’s surprising that Eccleston said this, mostly because he probably bought himself a bunch of trouble. But I don’t think it’s fair to say that “whole confession was bizarrely inspired by Eccleston praising intimacy coordinators.”
Biden does not have a magic wand. He needs a Congress that supports him so that he can add to the Supreme Court, and have that Roe v Wade decision reversed. It has been over 50 years since a sitting Dem president has had a majority Congress for their entire term.
Some of you guys need a refresher on basic American civics. Until Congress sends Biden a bill to sign that makes abortion legal in all 50 states or a Constitutional amendment that does the same, there’s not much he can do. The Supreme Court has spoken and the only way to override that is an act of Congress.
