I hum I Wanna Be Like You to myself all the time. Prima and Harris sound like they’re having a blast (didn’t know they recorded completely separately).

How isn’t Debbie any stranger than Holden? To me, he’s the one who acts like an undercover alien studying human behavior. Debbie is odd only to the extent of putting up with him.

It’s too bad he and Gillian Jacobs never had a drunk-off. She was pretty good at playing drunk on Community.

Ah man, I guess the shit winds finally carried him away.

What’s with all the videos today?

This is probably as close as we’ll get to the gritty Murder, She Wrote reboot that we’ve ALL been waiting for.

Does anyone outside of the Philly area/WaWa zone call them hoagies? I always thought it was a regional thing. Or maybe we are just surrounded by subs and heroes territory.

Why is the AV Club so worked up about R&M fans?

Thanks. I had the same question.

Damn it, I was going to go with Shane MacGowan.

Wow, I did not remember the the plot to Peter & The Wolf at all.

Pendantry alert: depending on the jurisdiction, battery is unwanted touching, and assault is the threat of battery (such as “made you flinch!” type stuff, among other things).

Same here in terms of being a prior lurker and now more frequent poster (Disqus also made it a lot easier to skip over the repetitive posts by collapsing threads). But the volume meant I could almost always find something interesting in the comments.

This feature has become a sad weekly reminder that we don’t really have discussions anymore. I hoped that after a bit the old AV Club community would adapt to working with Kinja, but it doesn’t look like it’s happening (and I certainly don’t have any great ideas on that front). I think the lack of ability to sort

Something did feel hollow about the end. I can’t really say what beyond that it left me unsatisfied and feeling like it was a set up for another sequel. Maybe it was the lose threads (Wallace still alive, and army of replicants waiting to revolt).

Yeah, I kept waiting for Peter & The Wolf to have a payoff, but if it did I missed it. And its prominent enough that the idea the filmmakers just chose it because it’s a jaunty tune seems off. P&W is about the danger of false alarms, right? Maybe it’s some commentary on how Joi is a false lover, which works to keep

...but we’ve always been the Weinstain Company.

Fuck yeah Airwolf! I’m sure it doesn’t hold up, but I loved it as a kid and it introduced me to Earnest Borgnine.

The first gets my vote for best of the series. Silly but fun and well done. This movie (plot, character actions) was too dumb, including the bank vault scene and especially the Vin Diesel/Johnson fight. I’m usually in for over the top super action, but something about it didn’t work for me here. Meh.

I logged into Netflix recently and was happy to see that the new seasons of Archer and Better Call Saul were finally available. Finally!
