Porsches are incredibly reliable. Aside from my 996 getting a new engine under warranty for IMS issues, the only thing I have done in 3 years of ownership is a new clutch, serpentine, one brake light bulb and fluids. Its got 100k miles. I did the brakes in ‘69 911 and the fluids and cleaned the carbs. I replaced the

Aside from straight-line speed, I am hard pressed to think of another car that competes in the same price range. Basically an S2000 or........

My Dad is out in Germany right now doing European delivery with his new M4. Apparently you have to keep it below 107 for the first 1,000 miles or you risk your warranty. He is relegated to the far right lane at that speed.

Okay, thats fair-ish.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Teslas too, but the point of buying a car is more about emotion than some theoretical track record or 0-60 time. By your standard, no classic Ferrari is any good because an Accord would beat it in a drag race. My 240z is slower than my 911, doesn’t mean I don’t like it. My LS460 is slower

Thats simply not true. An average loan is ~4.2% now (lower on certain cars/manufacturers). You can easily find a number of stocks paying higher dividends than that (SEP is pay 6% now). Assuming a diversified portfolio of growth an dividend stocks you would be a fool to shell out the cash on a car.

You can’t fool me Rolls, that a Tahoe with a cheap Chinese front end kit.

We may have lost the skill, but as someone tangentially involved with several Chinese manufacturing plants, it impossible to overestimate how important the supply chain and logistics operations are. Those ONLY exist in China. I can find freight forwarders and get their trucks in a bay in 12 hours, no problem.

Disagree. Strongly. But thats the great thing about cars, we don’t have all get the same thing.

Hey, flat black can look amazing.

Okay, you clown, do you understand a “specialist” in this means an ORAL SURGEON. As in, medical school, not dental school? You literally have NO IDEA what you are talking about. All 3 of my family members own or co-own their practices. Did you even read the report you posted? Do you know what gross billings of $640k

Um, no. You said a dentist could easily make $500k. I am sure there is a dentist somewhere in making that, but you can probably count them on one hand.

You’re out of your mind. I have 3 dentists in my family and they are are LA/Newport Beach/ Beverly Grove. None of them make $500k.

This car will cost north of 3 times the median salary for a dentist. No dentist (unless they have been aggressively opening franchises) are buying this car.

I hate my proximity key. While we are at it, I hate giant fucking electronic keys period.

I just got back from the Canton Fair (ultra massive tradeshow) in China. They actually had a special room (large one) set assides specifically for resolving and addressing patent disputes.

Accepted? Its basically the norm.

Remove engine. Import. Instal engine. Register as kit-car. This is how the Arial Atoms got street legal right? Since it was never crash tested anywhere, there is a chance you could pull this off.

$1k a month? What in the world are you doing? I live in Austin and my 2100sqft home hasn’t cracked $150 all summer. Thats with 2 adults, 2 kids and plenty of toys. My parents home is 7500 sqft and their bill is $300. Are you trying to air-condition your backyard?

Well, ya, if you are not willing to stomach a good amount of risk, then cheap performance car isn’t for you. But who cares, its ten grand, you get a lot of fun for you money. Even if it grenades after 3 years, you will still only loose, what $5k? You will lose $15k on a Mustang GT in that time frame.
