Did they fish that thing out of the Sea of Japan? Jesus.

I have an LS460 as a daily and I am forever confused as to these new interior designs. They make look neat, but Lexus nailed the usability. Then proceeded to ruin it in later generations with the touch pad.
I have owned several 911s but I won’t consider anything past a 997.2. They have gotten to expensive and to soft. If you want a GT car, get the Jaguar F type. Nicer interiors and 30% cheaper. Or a Cayman.
There won’t be any deal markups after a few months.
My 5 and 7 year olds fit just fine. They will probably be okay up until 10 or so.
I regularly drop off my kids in my 911. I use it to go to Costco sometimes too. Its not my most practical car, but it gets the job done.
20 Years? Its happening now. All those $50K Mustang resto-mods are sitting on Craigslist for months now. The prices have been flat to down for the past 5 years.
Build quality? Modern Lotus’ have been remarkably reliable compared to other small-volume producers. On the safety side, well, its better to think of them as safe motorcycles rather than unsafe cars.
I absolutely want one of these. I see them all over Hong Kong and I am beyond jealous. They are super expensive though.
Look, I will be thrilled to be wrong here! No two ways about it. If it comes in under $80k, I might just be the first customer in line. I will still be stunned though.
We had a 504 growing up (in the USA). While it has some good qualities, I think my family will remember it mostly as the car that was always broken. It ended up being junked with a cracked block at 65,000 miles. It may have survived the deserts of Kenya, but it couldn’t handle the wilds of Austin.
I’ve said it before, but there is almost nothing out there that has the fun, practicality, style, reliability and (critically) price point as my 996 4s. If you need backseats (like I do for kids) other than a Cobra your options are severely limited. 100K miles and counting.
Most of the IMS bearing issues have been sorted out by now. The ones that were going to die already have. Worst case, its only an additional $400 when you are having the clutch replaced.
Why do you think that? Its not like people are taking C classes on insane joyrides during a test drive. The salesperson is usually sitting right there.
I hear you, but at $35k? I feel like its $5k too much. You can easily get a quad-cab full size pickup with more features for less than $35k than they are offering here. The native off-road capability is worth something, sure, but it still seems like a lot of money.
Like, you are clearly on the cross here, but there are literally oceans of classic Yamahas and Kawasakis out there with much more than 20k miles. Bikes like the KZ1000 have huge followings and tons of restoration and mod options.
Okay, well not a full cage at least from what I can see in the video. Also, its not even a full-face helmet. I stand by my ballsy comment.
Ya, agreed. They are a very solid choice compared to the competition. Maybe Hyundai over-produced?
There is a lot of truth to what you are saying. I have had people say I am not a “real car person” because my 911 is dirty, scratched, and I let my kids eat in the back seat. I’ve had similar things said about my stock Miata. If I “cared about it” I would put a Turbo kit on it. There are different ways to enjoy cars. …
200mph in an un-caged Dodge economy car? That, sir, is the definition of ballsy.
