You can file all day long, but as long as they have a judges order and an “ongoing investigation”, the car owners are S.O.L. The police are all but untouchable here.

Seriously. Very disapointed to discover this was a video.
Partially, this is a stupid choice because we have better options in Austin. Leaving out Uber/Lyft, we already have ZipCars for all day usage and Cars2Go for quick trips. Explain to me again why I would want to share 1/6th of car?
You can’t deny the value. Honestly, in the $20k range, you have the 996 911, S2000, C5, Mustang Cobra and thats about it. Really, all of them have pros and cons and the C5 really is a great option, image be damned. That said, I am thinking about getting my wife a C6 Convertable .
There are at three on Ebay right now with a Buy-it-now under $180k.
Ya, I don’t think the 50% number is realistic. But it wouldn’t suprise me if these did drop 25%+ in the first 3.
Checked out the prices of the SLS AMG recently? You can pick them up for $175-$190k all day long. Mercedes sports cars depriciate pretty badly, the higher the trim, the more dramatic the drop.
You don’t need an autclave to cure carbon fiber. Most epoxies can cure at room temperature. You do need to pull a vacuum if you want to minimize weight though.
There is a reason my daily is an LS460. Sure its dull as cornflakes, but I need one thing in my life that doesn’t give me headaches. I have other cars that serve that purpose.
I really doubt the 124 is going to drop like the other Fiats. Most (not all) Miata owners tend to be “car people”. Given the similarity between the two models, I see Miata shoppers being very likely to consider a 124 if they saw a deal. I wouldn’t expect the gap to be as wide as the 500 Abarth, a car that doesn’t have…
I never hated the Mondial, but if you are going to go through the pain of owning an ‘80s era Ferrari, it needs to give you “the fiz”. It just never did that for me. I’ve ridden in one. Good GT cars honestly.
The hands-free nature is certainly helpful if you have kids. I could be gross and not want to reach into my pocket and just holler at Alexa to start playing music. I can get the weather for the afternoon while putting on my kids shoes. I can’t bring myself to spend the money on the home automation and lighting, but…
My neighbor kept a silicone oven mitt in her 308. Its hot in Texas.
My last visit to the DMV (DPS) was 20 minute affair including the 5 minute wait time. I don’t know what they did over the last 10 years, but they got their act together.
You are correct. However, one simple fix that is never implemented: Extend the tray line. If you doubled the length of the rollers and gave people the bins sooner, they would have more time to get ready.
I...uh..what? Go look at MSFTs product line. It ranges from mobile phone OSs to game systems to productivity tools to server management systems. MSFT has many many many many more software offerings than Apple does.
$650 per person? $1,300 for a couple? I couldn’t enjoy a wedding that much. Just fly us all to New York and rent our Eleven Madison Park for the night. Cheaper. Better.
Could you do me a favor and stop posting about these? I would really appriciate it. I need them to depriciate like the sedans so I can pick one up for sub $40k.
This is stupid concern. A) It will have a ton of GPS and cameras. B) It probably won’t be possible to extracate the tracking systems from the hardware and keep it functional C) It is just way easier to steal a normal car.
Sure, I don’t love the dash either, but there is a lot to be said for the ability to _truly_ daily drive a muscle car. In traffic, in the cold, etc.
