Jag of Austin had an R-type on their lot with 2k miles and they were asking $88 for it. I was _painfully_ tempted.

This is pretty much my opinion for any tool except a cordless drill. Those things work and I just get 2-3 batteries so I never run out. I have cordless Circular saws, recip saws, etc and they all “kinda” work, but you need a corded version first.

Don’t use hotspot? Well that makes sense, my phone can already be a hotspot, and given that many drivers are alone in their cars, it pretty much falls to families on road trips that would even want this functionality.
I think you are a pretty rare breed that A) Just randomly drives to Miami and B) Trusts restaurant recommendations from General Motors. I think I used OnStar maybe 1 time to get a football score while I was driving. On the SUPER RARE occasion that these things come up, I can just say “Ok Google, find the best Sushi…
While the tool is okay, it really lacks the torque of the corded version. This is a big problem if you intend to to much more than sand wood.

Not really sure what your point is here. I am not saying CarMax is a great deal. Its well known that they will pay less/charge more than other methods. But I am only pointin g out that getting a better deal when you buy a car is a totally different animal and not comparable to a walk-away price.
That dealership paid more than the car was worth in order to make the transaction happen. If the KBB was $14k (and KBB is usually wrong) then how is the Subaru dealer going to make money on that deal? They are not. Your “deal” came out of the price of the STI. CarMax give you a walk-away price. Sure it was low, but…
What advantages do these motor cars have over, say.. a train, which I could also afford?
I am having a hard time following your logic. Are you suggesting that investing the $45k, and waiting the 13 years it would take for the principal to reach the point where it could make the ~$500 payment is the only justifiable path?
Your not wrong, but to what end? Should he go live in a tent? You can survive on beans and frozen vegtables for decades. We all have to strike a balance.
You say you are not being sarcastic, but I have a hard time believing you. I don’t see how this chunky, disjointed mess is supposed to be an “improvement”. Am I missing something?
Meh, by worldwide standards, our spoiled kids are pretty tame. Getting away with _literal_ murder via DUI and the like is commonplace in many developing nations.
Its obsolutely legal to reassign employees to menial jobs in the US (aside from certain contract/protected jobs). I saw it happen in the government sector. People would claim bogus “injuries” prevented them from doing their job hoping they would be given permenant leave. Bosses were not having that, so they reassigned…
That is the problem with the modern SL series (former 560sl owner here). No matter what version, from base to Sl63, they are a dentist’s car. Its like you asked a German Grandfather to design a “fun” car. They mean well, but its just not quite right.
I’ve got 996 4s. While it is not the easiest car I have ever owned to work on (physically, its cramped), everything about it is _logical_. It is clear engineers thought about maintenance and repairs.
You know, they should probably pimp themselves out. Perhaps the Lotus/Porsche Design type thing where they keep their lights on with engineering projects. I can see a lot of people (see: Dubai) buying a “Spyker Edition” Aventador.
Oh man. $4,000 penalty! I was aware of the penalty, but I never investigated the percentage assuming it was so small as to not be worth my time. I had no idea. This is especially frustrating since I paid to have my taxes done for the first time last year and they never mentioned this being an opportunity.
It was my assumption that this was going be more than “just a track”, which could obiviously use static mangets. I assume that only because that would be of zero interest and as your video shows has been done forever. Something more clever would be to to create a grid of electromagnets that switch polarity in real…
That is the problem. Magnets are directional. Assuming they are electromagnets in the surface they would need to be switched in real-time (blutooth?) to give the right polarity to continue the direction of the oncoming hoverboard. Otherwise, this is just stuck on a track like every other superconductor/magnet parlor…
I am mostly just pissed because this is most beautiful GT to come on the market since the Vanquish.
