The only way this happens is if they charge more for the rag top. Call it the AMG Blue series. Lightweight alloys, lightweight bucket seats, some carbon diffusers and a cloth top. Make it a prestige thing and suddenly the soft-top is a badge of honor.

You don't just roll up on National Instruments in their own back yard and not expect some violent party crashers. NI does not take kindly to folks invading their industrial automation turf.

That is pretty much what he is doing. I promise you no giga-factory is coming to Hutto. This is just Tesla rubbing it in our (Texas) faces. Beyond that, Texas is already the number two sales state for Tesla, after California. If Tesla can continue to successfully pursue their direct sales model, in 10 years this

Ever had a sick kid at 3 in the morning? All of you people saying how silly this is sound exactly like the whole "Why would I need to play games/take photos/browse the web on my phone" folks from 2006.

You are spot on. Whomever did the research for this document knows EXACTLY who they are targeting. It isn't the bearded hipster playing the harmonica on his unicycle. Its the social media manager that tweeted about him.

You got lucky. Our Sync is nothing but unreliable garbage. It often takes 3-4 attempts to pair, and it won't pair with some phones. Voice control? I might was well be saying "play blutooth audio" in Dutch for all it can tell. My biggest problem? It offers headaches, a poor user experience, it takes longer to do

As a kid family's 405 diesel had a block crack after 100k miles. But the rust would have killed it soon after anyway. I don't necessarily view them all that fondly.

Reminds me of Tim Doyle's "King of Crabs". Tim's work is awesome.

Exactly. I couldn't care less about an in-car GPS. Just give me a blutooth connection and I am good to go. Voice activation is also amazing. "Okay Google: Navigate to the nearest grocery store".

This is also the first car I've had where I really used the concierge features, thanks to my wife locking the keys in the trunk after a whole-family trip to the Y. Stuck in a parking lot with a tired, swimming-pool wet three year old isn't a really good time, but the operators were very patient. Even though I didn't

I think you guys are really off-base here. Sure, I can point to anecdotal examples of places where garages are too small. But those garages would be a problem for any full size SUV.

That is a silly thought. What percentage of SUV buyers live close enough to drive to the slopes? 20% tops? What percentage actually go skiing? Maybe 5% of that? I am sure it was a conscious decision to forgo that market segment.

For added irony, it appears to have been shot in Austin. That bridge is in the middle of the area where all the tech millionaires live and the BBQ place is in the center of downtown.

Although stupid, I assume the biker had seen this over and over again and just sick of it and snapped. I can't tell you how frustrating it is for me when people drive in the bike lanes when I ride to work.

The problem is that it wasn't really expected to freeze much until really early this morning. The sand trucks were not out early enough.

We had two days of ice last year, and the previous couple of years without.

I don't understand why this and the cabriolet both exist.

Agree. There is so much 80s-ness about it, you just have to love it. I would rock it, given the opportunity.

From what I have read, and was later confirmed by a PA friend, there are literally warehouses full unclaimed prizes. People from New York find out they owe taxes, and then shipping on a pool table just refuse to take the item. This creates a tax problem, because the donated items cant be returned to the factories

Although environmental inspectors ARE paid off, that is mostly so they can dump toxic chemicals into the rivers.
