I loved the skirt over pants trend. We get long, cold winters and teen fashion is not very warm. The year you could wear skirts over pants was the only winter I didn't freeze my butt off

I was 13 in 2001 too. My favorite trend was to wear a band t-shirt over a stripped long sleeve shirt. I swear I saw a young person wearing that today and about did a double-take.
