My grandma used to tell my sister and I that we had some kind of ability. She said mine was strongest and how she knew was that I cried out from the womb. Idk about that but I never felt like I had any kind of special abilities. Yeah, I’ve experienced strange things but I wouldn’t call that an ability.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *deep breath* OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Two years ago, I got severely, awfully sick (probably the flu). I didn’t go to work for the entire week. It was all I could do just to keep myself drinking liquids and soup and shuffling to bed. The worst part was my husband was traveling for business, so I was all alone, just me and our sweet black cat Libby.
I was recently staying at a wellness resort retreat in the desert. I don’t want to say the name because it’s truly delightful, but it’s like one of those place where white women go to do yoga and eat organic food and get Ayurveda massages. They also have a lot of things there that would maybe be considered mysticism.…
Our house is probably haunted. We don’t talk about it often because my husband and I share the philosophy that the more attention you give to something the more energy and power you give it. If we spent a lot of time thinking about how haunted the house might be, we would probably see more evidence because we’d…
About 16 years ago I was single and living alone, for the first time ever, in my 1920s bungalow. I loved my little fixer upper, and I had found a nice antique English haberdashery armoire at an action house for only $100. My bedroom was the very back room of the house and had no closet, only my bed and this armoire. I…
Four years ago, my boyfriend and I took our first trip together to Victoria B.C. I’d been there before, though he hadn’t, and I was looking for something new to do. We stopped in one of the tourist info centers, and I found a pamphlet for the local ghost tours. Hell. Yes.

Trigger warning: violent rape.
Finally, been waiting to tell this story for a while and kept missing the posts previous years.
I was in Guatemala on a class trip, and it was our last night in Antigua before we left the next morning back to the states. My class was staying in a hotel that was once a hospital during a war, years and years ago. I was sitting in the courtyard journalling alone late at night, everyone else had gone to bed.
I like spooky things, but I wouldn’t consider myself a big believer of the supernatural. In fact, if this hadn’t happened to me, I would easily write all ghost stories off to be just that - stories. But it did, and for 30 years it has lingered in the back of my mind “was that real?”.
This is probably more sad than scary, but there’s nothing as spooky as the hallucinations of someone who is near death. My dad had sepsis with some brain involvement. He couldn’t control his body temp, and would go in and out of his head. When he was out, he would stare into corners and speak with dead (and only dead)…
The scariest thing that ever happened to me was not supernatural which is odd because I grew up in a haunted house. But it was a house that was haunted by an old lady ghost who would do things for me like get me a glass of juice or if I sat up in my bed in the middle of the night and asked for it. Not like she’d bring…
I agree - Angie Jo has the coordinates of her children’s country of birth tattoed on her and it doesn’t make me think of the holocaust...
I posted this late last year so it got buried in the comments, but I still think it’s a great story.
that crucifix girl is crazy if she thinks that thing left her alone after returning it. that spirit is with you for life now, bb.
I once placed a Grubhub order only to find out that I accidentally ordered 3 of one large dish instead of just 1. I tried to use the chat function, but was told I had to call the restaurant **lightning strike sound**.
