Hey, dude. Just heard the great news. Sounds like you’re doing really well!

I don’t always drink alcohol, but when I don’t, I love me some orange juice. The highest pulp available, because the lower the pulp content, the more reminiscent the juice is of Sunny D, which is an abomination unto man.

Listen, if I want to put a powdered jelly donut on the grill you can’t stop me. I might regret it, but you can’t stop me.

Yes, but if you’re going to continue using it at the same event, that’s an inconvenience most won’t bother with.

It’s easier to keep cans in a cooler than bottles. Once a bottle is opened, putting it back in the cooler is just begging for spills. With a can, especially if you have enough people in your group or intend on people going back for more, there is no “opened bottle” so to speak. Each serving remains perfectly cool

Doomsday was a great idea, but badly executed. The pacing for the entire season was a mess, and it frequently felt like the show didn’t have any real ideas so it was just padding itself out with filler.

Watch the first five seasons. Then stop. Seasons 6 and 7 were kinda crappy, and 8 was irredeemable trash. The finale might be the single worst television episode I’ve ever seen.

The wider availability of MP3 encoding features in free and inexpensive commercial software as a result of expired patents will be nice, but honestly, I wish the audio/video industry as a whole would switch to Opus for lossy audio. It’s the best in every way, and unencumbered by those pesky license fees.

These things stay beautifully crisp pretty much no matter what you do with them. Even if you rinse ‘em to death, they stay crisper than just about anything else you might use here. That was initially a large part of why I tried this; I figured the taste would be interesting, but that was rather secondary in my search

In a lot of other things, such as salads, I’d definitely prefer red. But this sandwich is all about the bite, which is why I went with white.

I had a whole paragraph on that, which it appears I accidentally deleted!

First things first, we’re going to be using sliced turkey, ham, and roast beef on this. Maybe some salami. Get creative. Multiple meats are key. Variety is good, too. A perfect sandwich today is going to be a little less perfect tomorrow, so mixing up your meats every day keeps it fresh and fun.

It’s okay, though, because their terms protect them from lawsuits if you follow their stupid advice and your baby dies.

South Park is on the list? If you’re on a news fast, South Park is the last show you should be watching. Same if you’re trying to avoid gore or violence.

Hmm... I don’t have an iPhone, but someone did point to a seemingly good Android alternative in the comments there. Thanks!

Devil’s advocate: How is this going to improve our measuring accuracy when the vast majority of recipes all call for volume measurements? If I’m baking and a recipe calls for one cup of flour, there’s no way of knowing which end of the 20% weight variance to err on to most closely match what the recipe’s author

For me, it’s been community theatre. At the recommendation of a local barista, I auditioned for Sweeney Todd in 2015. Been acting ever since. Met the best friends I’ve ever had in the process, as well as my now fiancée. And I’ve moved on to directing as well.

I grew up poor. My mom was trying to raise a family of four on $1,200 USD a month. Even though that went farther in the 1998 than it does today (closer to $1,800 in 2017 dollars), it’s still precious little. But we managed, largely due to super frugal shopping, bulk, and lots of pasta and rice.

I’m not sure that’d be an upgrade for me. Yes, I don’t have 1440p, but I do have 144Hz, which this display does not.
