Ah, but unicorn fraps aren’t dominating anybody’s mouths anymore. Those things lived and died the short life they deserved.

Surely you could’ve found somewhere better to put the bit about her being transgender than in a paragraph about her computer not being fast enough. Like, I dunno, near the beginning of the article, when Myria is first introduced? Where it is now, it merely serves to interrupt the flow of a gripping story with a detail

Might as well enter the highway from an offramp. Backwards is backwards, period.

I live in a rural area with long stretches of highway with no left lane. Either you’re going one way, or you’re going another. Every once in a while, someone will decide to go 50 in a 60 zone on these long stretches. It’s intensely frustrating, but if I can wait it out, there are a few places where the left side opens

How do you chop “like a chef,” all quick and speedy? TV chefs seem to chop in 2 or 3 seconds what might take me 20 or 30, but they do it so fast I can’t tell what they’re doing. Is it about knife? Technique? Something else?

Chickpeas? On a pizza? I might try this recipe, modified to not have any chickpeas on it.

If they add nested lists, this’ll be exactly what I need.

It’s not that I don’t like good movies so much as I don’t like pretentious movies, particularly when they use a slow, pondery style and vague writing as a way of masking the fact they don’t have much to say. Often it’s little more than blatant obscurantism, and a lot (certainly not all) of professional critics are

I have three “can’t even” meals, for different occasions.

I’ve been really happy lately with Shift (Mac, Windows, Linux). Forked from WMail, it’s built around a simple idea: GMail, Google Inbox, and Outlook webmail, but in a dedicated app. Multiple accounts are easy to use, it also manages Google Calendar (with desktop notifications!) and Google Drive, and has suited my

Whatever you’re eating, a good riesling is always a valid choice.

Thanks so much for this! For some reason my phone hasn’t been getting OTA updates so I wanted to sideload my way up to Nougat, but I was having trouble finding the tools I needed; Google’s own information on the matter has terrible SEO (irony!), but this article that links to it is right at the top of my search

We live in an age where people think it’s okay to harass anybody as long as they can find something to justify it, no matter how small.

A repeat joke would be so boring. This year, they should do Jezopnik.

That was my first thought. Invested properly, the million could be worth a lot more than the $5000/month.

It’s not that the show doesn’t warrant my full attention. I’d give it if I could. But if I were to watch TV only when I am able to give it my full attention, I’d never watch TV. I do not have enough time in most days to devote some strictly to pure entertainment. The only way I can justify it at all is if I’m watching

Regarding point 2: I think it’s really easy to forget that subs can be bad too. Especially fansubs, which are often rushed, poorly proofread, and outright wrong in tone. I dunno why it is that so many fansubs see fit to fill content with swearing without regard to whether that’s anywhere near the most accurate

Alton Brown buried himself just so he could turn over in his grave after reading this.

Well, it’s not like I *never* look at the screen, but subbed anime doesn’t even give you the freedom to occasionally glance away from the screen. I like to watch TV while I clean; it makes cleaning far less boring. That’s all but impossible with subbed anime.
