The neighborhood kids on my street when I was a child were the reason my dad put up a six-foot wood privacy fence around our pool. Some friends had the four-foot chain link but they added a thick box hedge around the outside of the fence. It’s hard to climb it if you can’t get to it.

I know, and they are good swimmers, but still was a bit shook when one of them told me he climbed the fence to get a ball.

Got a pool? Any kids ever come over to your house, even once? If you answer yes to both, you need a fence around the pool, period. Just about this exact same incident happened to some friends of my wife’s a couple decades back, and then to some people in our church congregation two or three years ago. I bought a house…

If you’re interested, I’d recommend going to YouTube and just playing a bunch of lore videos while you do other stuff. Like listening to radio or a podcast almost. I only got into it last year and it’s pretty damn cool.

I would argue that it isn’t necessarily under cheesed, depending on the thickness.
