Especially when all she had to do was keep her mouth shut on Twitter. She traded a legit, essentially lifetime, acting career in one of the most beloved universes of all time... to talk trash on transgendered people and COVID protocols. Yeah... seems worth it.

Doesn’t matter though. Her family owns casinos in Vegas.

You can’t fix that kind of stupid.

Imagine believing in such bad human takes that you would burn Star Wars paychecks to work for Ben Shapiro's $50-budgeted direct to home movie productions.

There was likely a pitch document based off the backs of the existing characters. Probably some concept art and some script outlines. That’d be the bare minimum but for a spin off that’s a pretty standard launch platform.

Was there ever a show beyond a logo?

I dig the shot of the Simulatte shop. Implies there’s people who decided to just stay in the Matrix in spite of knowing it isn’t ‘real’ (because who in god’s name would actually *want* to live in the Real, as Morpheus called it? I mean, don’t get me wrong, Cypher was a murderous douche, but he wasn’t entirely wrong.) a

Or they just haven’t done the color grading yet. Some of the nighttime shots have a greenish-blue tinge.

My immediate thought is that this film is some sort of re-telling/alternate iteration in which Neo takes the blue pill, and we see how the story of the One still inevitably plays out in that context. The shot of older Neo (current age Keanu) with the whole bottle of blue pills definitely seems to suggest he’s been

The first film implied that the real world had been replicated in the Matrix, so every city was repeated inside The Matrix, they just didn’t bother mentioning the name of the city.

I really hope the story isn’t Neo has amnesia and has to remember he is The One with a T2000-style Sentinel that can look human in the real world.

Interesting how a lot of the day scenes lack that greenish filter that was in the original trilogy. I assume this is the Matrix 2.0 that we saw at the end of Revolutions.

It’s good to see they’re finally giving Deja Vu cat her due after writing her out of the sequels.

This looks a LOT like a movie I’ve seen before.

Yeah, there’s no way this is legally or medically ethical.

Last thread I saw on this there was a lively rumble over 1) Jet being played by a Black actor and 2) Faye not showing enough skin.

I’m glad to read that. Bebop is a pretty episodic show, and you can do a whole ton of adventures-of-the-day with the set-up. There’s no need to stick to the ones we got.

The Apple product placement, IMO, hasn’t been jarring at all, for the most part. I’ve noticed that MacBooks are angled so you can’t miss the Apple logo, but aside from that they’ve been used in an organic way. It’s certainly less jarring (again IMO) than greeking branded items.

US currency has the backing of the US government, crypto does not.

It’s such a surprisingly good show. I was wrecked after my second covid shot and couldn’t find anything to watch while laying on the couch and fired it up and... super surprised! I don’t care about sports shows, soccer isn’t even on my radar, but I figured I’d dip my toe in and was heavily rewarded.

An Apple TV+ series gets an exclusive Apple product placement.
