It’s true, what Vonnegut said. It’s a damn shame Pewdiepie has shown us his whole ass many a time, and it’s not a ‘pretend’ game.

The cynical side of me believes that this is one and done deal done precisely to get some positive press in his name. Because a bad guy wouldn’t donate to a anti-hate group right?

I don’t know, plenty of large youtubers who don’t have a Nazi following. The Markiplier and friends crowd may not be my sort of content but they’ve managed to become very successful without shouting the N word or taking advantage of the people in a poorer country to make antisemitic jokes.

As Kurt Vonnegut said, we must be careful who we pretend to be.

No. If what you’re saying has a large amount of Right Wing Nazis showing up and supporting you, it’s because what you’re saying feels appealing to the scum that is the so-called ‘Alt-Right’. The fact that they turned Pewdiepie into a meme that was referenced by mass shooters, and that hate groups support and spread

How exactly is he being misrepresented? He did say the n-word. He did pay people to say “Death to all Jews.”  These things aren’t spin.  They’re objective facts.

So he’s announced the donation before he made it, meaning the actual donation will probably come from the ad revenue of the video around the donation...

“I have been called a ‘jew,’ ‘rabbi,’ ‘goyim’ hundreds of times in my DMs over the past 24 hours.”

No one is blaming him directly for the shootings. What we are saying is that because of his massive influence with a younger audience, as well as the fact of how he aligned himself with a bunch of free-speech mooks and other shitty individuals, Pewdiepie’s brand of “I’m just joking” racism is a gateway to harder,

What a cool fanbase you’ve cultivated, dude.

You have got some feels, my man!

I played the first 20 minutes or so last night, and barely left the classroom because I read all the help files. Design-wise, this info panel within a game is fascinating, and has tons of information that I know I missed back in 1999.

I think this is the opposite of how most of my friends feel, where getting older has made us less patient for all the tedious nonsense involved in classic JRPGs.

This isn’t merely derivative. This is blatant, shameless, direct copying. Every single character, creature, and item in those pictures is a chibified 1:1 copy from WoW.

It is worth noting also that your debit card may potentially have a lower daily withdraw limit than you think. If you are going to take out a good amount of money, check with the bank beforehand. I learned it the hard way.

It’s considered predatory enough in some places. I’m Dutch and I won’t be able to download it and supposedly people in Belgium won’t be able to either. The gambling aspects to the game are apparently the cause for that.

What the hell you talking about? The game literally takes names and character designs from Warcraft. Not similar character concepts. Not similar game mechanics. Literally the same core character design and their names and backstories. This isn’t at all comparable to what you’re referencing.

$5 if you knew it had to be from a Chinese dev. Not to get on a high horse, but China is completely shameless about IP theft. I know it’ll never happen because their economy essentially lives on it, but if the IP laws in China ever got serious you might actually see good, original games from there. As it stands,

And that's why gambling is a hundred billion dollar industry, because people think there is a functional difference between spending money at a casino with a chance to win and the most useless shit.

To be fair, I’d rather play a slot machine at a tiny chance of winning something (not that I would or ever do) instead of pour anything over 3 cents into a game that will 100% reward me with absolutely nothing.
