If, for whatever reason, you don’t want to install the Epic Launcher, fine, go for it. You don’t need a long winded answer to do so. Just don’t install it. It’s your computer, do what you please. But don’t use it as an excuse to harass people. Show with your wallet that you don’t support it. If you only want DRM-Free

I think one of the most damaging things that the PC gaming culture was the idea of the "PC gaming master race".

Gamers..... WHY?

Dude.... This article wasn’t even about Epic man. It was about the indie studio and how they have been harassed to no end for simply doing the smart choice of taking an exclusivity deal that’s beneficial for them. It’s easy to talk about integrity and not selling out, but making games is fucking hard man.

I’m not a fan of the practices of any of these platforms with the exception of Itch.io. Apple, Android, Steam, EA, Epic and all of them are all trying to create walled gardens where they can reduce price competition while keeping the retailer cut as high as possible.

That’s certainly a take

Huawei may be somewhat innovative now, but their roots come from stolen American IP.

Well as I said, console gamers are not going to buy it anyway, but Mihoyo had big fan bases, and as long as these kind of things profitable, more company gonna do the same, and ruin the enviroment for everyone who lived in China and working in gaming industry.

If what a self-identified Chinese fan said elsewhere is right, this is not about Zelda, but about the company behind this game being a copycat when they had the mettle to make a fully original IP.

That doesn’t really contradict his point.  Being great at crafting things, even en masse, is not the same thing as innovating new things.

As Hachima reports, one guy even destroyed his PS4 in protest.

When I said that there need to be more games like Breath of the Wild this isn’t what I meant.

Thank you for explaining the emotions and background of this. We often see the result of such things outside of China but we don't understand your reasons or history. This explains the depth of the feelings and why it ended up being a betrayal.

Or...you know...just be rational and dont buy the game.

You got a weird definition of 1:1 copies I’d say maybe that Deep Purple one is the closest. The one you cited doesn’t really sound close.

“You May Like” stories from “Yesterday, Thursday, Three Years ago”. One of these things is not like the others! Also I thought Yesha was back but she’s not and that’s unacceptable, playing with my emotions that way. Kruel Kinja.

Thanks for the links. I’ve been trying to figure out where to start with Brandon Sanderson. :)

One of my favorite things about JRPGs, and it’s probably my favorite in period is a Western Historical based Fantasy processed through a thick Japanese lens. This is probably why the Dark Souls series and Final Fantasy Tactics are two of my favorite games (series) ever made. The distance from growing up in a western

You’re not alone. I have to check dates on articles just to make sure I don’t do the same thing.

[Comment Redacted] Edit: I just saw this if from 2016. Thanks “related stories” side panel.
