The characters look good but the textures are bad. the pop in is absurd and the framerate dies when UH is being used which is all the time.

I think Crash 4 didn’t sell too well which is why they pivoted to this. Crash 4 also had quite a big change in public perception with the game being too difficult and punishing for anyone who liked gem collection and the levels were TOOOOOOO long.
Also I think it was inevitable that Sony would have a light year after they’ve released 2-3 consistently high quality games since 2020.
TOTK is an example of how much critics and fans are willing to overlook for a franchise they love. It is extremely repetitive. Same issue with Elden Ring. With or without map markers, open worlds are just repetitive by nature.
apparently it will be the least buggy Bethesda launch as per MS execs
I love the box but that watch looks cheap as heck. Also watches should be bought in person as they are investments and one should verify the quality.
not in a month already super crowded.
Yup like I already know where I stand till at least NOV. TOTK now but put it aside once FFXVI is out. Next is Pikmin 4 in July, Armored Core August, Eternights in Sept (unsure but 80% getting), Oct priorities are SM2 and AW2. The others can wait for a sale especially since AC games go on sale really quickly.
revenue is good but what are their costs?
depends on screen tearing. The FromSoft games are ugly because of it and poor stability but something like Uncharted 4 looked gorgeous in 30fps because it was buttery smooth.
Ah yes let us compare a game that looks like shit but at least allows itself to be played on the go/handheld and on a tv and it runs on tech that was dated when it released to a game that is on the “most powerful console today”* and who’s senior exec said “60FPS is the way going forward”
Fallout 4 is about the protagonist looking for their kid. Obviously it is urgent. Most personal matters are. Yes Oblivion and Skyrim are different which is why I did not mention them genius. Fallout 4 relied too much on the radiant quest system, the crafting/base building rather than focusing on the actual RPG aspect…
That was surprisingly not as cool as I was hoping for it to be. I thought FO4 lost a lot of narrative urgency due to the crafting and building stuff. This game seems to be doubling down on everything good and bad about Bethesda games. Either way not the giant game changer I was expecting with all the delays.
Made a boatload of money but it definitely wasn’t good unless you are under 7.
True. But I also think Nintendo do not know how make a basic story. The Mario movie didn’t even have a basic character arc or structure. It literally went from set piece to set piece which weren’t even that fun.
Thank you! You nailed my biggest gripes with Both those games! I love how unique and fun each area of older Zelda looked and played. The Dungeons while improved over BOTW still feel the same. Also those shrines suck. I hate the Proving shrines.
The FTC Wouldn’t want to get shouted at by Redmond senators again. Microsoft are too powerful to ever suffer any actual repercussions
I mean it is expected they gave the EARLY ACCESS people the advantage and now the rest of the world can enjoy the grind and the inevitable MTs associated with said grind so ABK can then claim another 10000 years of playtime.
I blame Digital Foundry. They seem like cool dudes who just love the tech side gaming but the effect it has had on console wars and gamer mentality is ridiculous.
From kept nerfing weapons that were allowing players to break the game and have fun. Same thing. They nerfed Mimic Tear too.
