Holy crap DAI was a bore but the worst part was I got addicted to completing it.

Yeah the only ARPGs with good combat are God of War and Bloodborne. I don’t know if Horizon can be considered an ARPG but the combat in the sequel is actually surprisingly good.
Replaying this game and I now remember why I am so mixed on it until the fantastic DLCS. It is aimless for 80% of the game. The combat while improved is at best just bearable. The DLCs just feel so much more focused than the main game ever does.
Ghost was the last game i played on ps4 before getting the 5 and I loved everything about it. I loved the combat, movement,Jins slow but understandable acceptance of the Ghost which culminates in one of the most beautiful boss fights in modern games.
I think it is the rushed nature around the ending. Like it could've had one or two more missions to set it up. Also cliffhangers suck lol.
I agree with this completely. There was a point in 2012 or so where I could find out about new games I had never heard of through gaming sites but now almost all of them discuss the same games with the same takes and it's quite disappointing.
It is really simple. If Aloy was a male character a lot of those people who found her too aggressive or mean would not have complained.
There are too many Meteoidvanias. I just want them to fuck off for a while. While we're at it Rogue-likes/lites/types as well.
Exactly. Look I liked the anime. But the anime at least had a story, likeable or understandable characters and motives and it was PUNK.
Im pretty sure they know critics will anyways give the game a 90+ without playing it. So they no longer need to take risks
I personally would've loved to see them try something new again because they're just so good at making new games with completely different genres.
I didn't find the characters hot or anything but I do think their VAs added a certain sultriness to the way they spoke which was kinda what helped.
Yup. We promise it'll be our year next year. I just don't think they have the management capabilities to make games of AAA scope. There smaller games are usually excellent like Pentiment and Grounded but most of their big hitters have been misses.
Im not surprised they had no games to show or no release dates for the current upcoming games. I’m now sure Starfield is in some form of development hell and I now expect a 2024 release or a very late 2023 release. Either way it’ll be a janky and broken mess but without the clout to see critics and fans ignore it.
He did. But that being said Xbox really didn’t show anything at the awards. I wonder if that was a strategic choice or if nothing is ready with a concrete release date.
Alright. Was just speculating because I’ve heard a lot of horror stories from my Sister in law who was an editor and how bad the culture can get. As long as it’s a personal decision it’s cool.
It Is going to be a bad recession. We’ll see a lot of media companies layoff fulltime staff (already happened for many like CNN) and keep costs low. I'm more surprised the guy was working till 2am. Is that not crunch?
But Kotaku always follow the trends. Twitter said 70 dollars is bad so Kotaku follows.
Yeah so far only the Sony Exclusives have been worth that price. Little to no jank (except Returnal which had a difficult launch) and very high quality content.
Well when you're about to be rewarded 70 billion for fucking up that bad, I sure wouldn't learn a lesson 😂. Seriously though fuck this company.
