I think it's one of those stupid rules where if more than a certain number of players take part, it's consider excessive.

so Linda McMahon political career surpassed the XFL as the biggest waste of money in Vince's life.

My girlfriend's dad works part time at our South Texas hometown's Dallas Cowboys official store. He needed some extra income a couple of years back, and like a lot of fans in our are, he's a huge fan so he thought he found a perfect, second job.

Not to be horrible, but the bounty thing is more widespread than people think. Frankly I'm surprised people are so shocked about it. Back in high school EVERYONE knew that if you knocked out a kid out of a game, you got an extra Whataburger in your bag on the way home. It was kind of a point of pride. You didn't

keep telling that to yourself in an fake English accent. Maybe some day the sounders can be part of the EPL and the indignity of not being a European club will end for all Sounder fans like you.

Comming up with your own chants and cheers. Not coping every fucking song you see English fans doing and just changing the names to those of your players. Developing the fan base's own sense of identity, not trying to co opt that you see on TV.

It's something that takes time to develop. It's something that sets your team's supporters apart from others and it usually takes generations to develop. It's not only the songs, the chants, the history, but the culture that develops around the club. It's intrinsically tied to the city, to the region. It's not

Nope, but I lived in Europe and seen real fan culture. Sounder fans are like some crypto Planet of the Apes like hipster fans who just live to copy anything they see happening in England.

hit a nerve huh? Why don't you insult me using that song you heard Liverpool supporters use a few months back in a fake English accent.

Sounder fans are the saddest, faux European wanna be douches ever. There's nothing wrong with loving soccer, but how about developing your own fan culture. All they do is imitate everything they see on English fans doing: the chants, the cheers, the songs. Nobody there has an original idea.

Well, at least he didn't say "It was like literally being raped repeatedly in the showers by an ex member of the football staff while everyone looked the other way or covered it up." because that would have just been in bad taste, ironic, but in bad taste.

I didn't know Sue Sylvester coached girl's lacrosse. (In my defense, my GF watches "Glee" and I have to pretend to listen to her when she tells me about the recaps of each episode.)

That's what the MLS has proposed years ago when the WUSA had started. The MLS wanted WUSA/MLS double headers to attract female fans and introduce male fans to the sport, but the WUSA and it's player founders refused.

I really enjoyed "World's greatest Dad", it's an awesome look at the phenomenon of bandwagon causes that get huge and take a life of their own.

They are certainly more on to of hate speech in England than they are over here.

refereeing is actually pretty terrible up and down the board in this competition. It's not so much that the ref is Mexican, it's that he's bad. He's not very well regarded or respected as a ref in the Mexican league. Most federations don't dare send one of their top ref to a competition like this one. Not while

actually, they are taken seriously by most countries. the Gold medal does carry a lot of prestige.

This is so true. I got a friend invite from a guy i knew in jr. High and hadn't seen in more than twenty years, and accepted it not knowing what i was getting into. It is the greatest gift Facebook has ever given me.

This team hasn't been the same since the Nick Saban debacle.

Oh yeah, you are right...and I've actually seen it to boot! It completely slipped my mind. Still, that story merits a remake to attract a younger audience.
