By the power vested in me by the Black People Totally Secret Hideaway Club of the Midwest i hereby confirm that those are "black people shoes." You are owed 3000 cool points to be paid retroactively.

wait, is she saying she "stole" her apple care and that she could get a "cart"? because lady, i mean, if you stole shit, don't bring more attention to yourself ;)

yeah, i hope you go further south then..and are white?

sorry but have to disagree. only a certain breed of folk — usually white — (literally) stroll into a place and demand shit on *their* time despite explicit rules/instructions stating otherwise.

5150 is very common, especially among the transient mentally ill. not at all celebrity specific.

i'm reading a lot about the problematic language in the big book. that's absolutely right, theres very wrong language regarding women in the 1930s AA manifesto. you know what else has problematic language regarding some folks in its manifesto? our fucking constitution, for gods sake. hey, here's a thing, just like we

i don't get the "cult" thing AT ALL. im in AA, my first 6 months of sobriety i stopped showing up and i didn't feel threatened the TWO times my sponsor checked in. there's no shaming, there's no required financial dues, you literally show up and that's it.

yeah i just don't get the AA hate — what addiction intervention has any 100% success? for a lot of folks, it doesnt work and for a lot of us, it works and its fantastic for when it does. thats it and thats all.

i haven't had this particular experience, i thoroughly enjoy AA and credit it a lot for my sobriety. BUT i will share this: twice, when traveling and going to a meeting in the area, I've been told to go to the womens-only meetings. both times i got the feeling this suggestion was made because i was the younger/est

ok this is ridiculous. they are such an attractive couple..it's offensive. like i feel affronted, what the serious fuck. these two with their rainbow coalition of children behind them and brad's hair are plotting a takeover.

fair point. though this is when audience matters. black people, such as myself, aren't shocked and appalled at her views/language or her expressing them publicly. in that case, yes i do agree that more people, white people, should understand better what's going on.

i agree we all should gain insight to what happened. just. not. from. her.

hey, not cool, Jezzie, i totally said this in my comment to http://gawker.com/juror-b37-is-p… — that it reminded me of oh so many fools that just needed to stop talking. humph .i agree and all..but still humph.

it's those pesky microaggressions that really burn the longest IMO.

Thank you!

i shouldn't say i'm "glad" i could help but i am.

I know Juror B37. I know her very well, actually.

actually i think the whole bit of "these youngsters today" *was* the PR, it hits with her white peers who can tsk tsk at blacks w/o looking at themselves. also, don imus did the same thing with his old as hell white ass — he blamed rap for his use of racist language.

Filing this under whitepeopleproblems. When appearance is an actual matter of life and death you kinda learn the nuances between fancy and slob. y'all's "happy mediums" is black folks "trying not to get shot/to get a job/ to be ignored/to be seen/to stay alive."
