"On Hellen Keller (and Greek philosophy): "I might as well be Helen Keller because I have NO idea what's going on in this class right now #plato"" — Helen Keller earned her B.A. So, so far, Keller: 1, Becksters: 0
if there are two sides to every story then why then sign off their posters with "support the boys"? riiiiight.
all she needs after this is a glove and some powder.

I was sooo going to ask if you were sincere or mocking but you just nicely cleared that up!
Sadly, as a private school they're pretty much within their right. This happened to the much beloved health (read: sex ed) counselor at my all-girls Episcopalian private high school (she outed herself after, wait for it, rumors of being spotted with a woman at a Lilith Fair concert. turns out she was indeed there with…
maybe he'd recently read that the term was okay? *side-eye* to Jezzie.
I don't think it's entirely fair to assume that because of what you saw and experienced it couldn't be difficult for others.

Still, he was ridiculous here and she handled his inappropriateness with graceful composure and humor. Sure, maybe some of her composure comes from the inability to move her facial muscles…
bigotry and prejudice come in all shapes and volumes. as an African American I've been most offended not by those who've called me the n-word or physically attacked me but by those who don't realize their own privilege. Paisley and others' "nostalgia" is based on the oppression of others, they may not realize it but…
I'm African American and I've used self-tanners/bronzers in the past and plan to this summer. I know other black women who do the same from time to time to, like me, even out our tans. I also use sunscreen YEAR-ROUND. Still, this article makes me feel bad. They may suspend my card at the next black people meeting.
