Just play what you feel and drink Scotch all night long. PS be careful while driving.

This man is the reason I took delivery of a Black on Black Trans Am with the requisite T-Tops 2 weeks after college graduation. RIP, Bert.

Best I ever pulled in my Mach 1 was 12.93 @107.24mph. The car was stock besides a dyno tune, a Bassanni catback, and a Bassanni X-Pipe with the cats still in place. I ran BFG Drag Radial IIs with the original gatorback tread, 315/35/17. My mistake was the low profile tires. They would not absorb the impact of shifts.

I generally don’t care one bit for the Mustang generations from the Fox-body to the New Edge but I must say, a tastefully done New Edge isn’t a bad looking car.

3,oooRPM is the sweet spot on that 4.6L DOHC.

The Mach also has a recorded 13.0 seconds flat, I just can’t remember which magazine those numbers came from; but yeah depending on multiple variables one of which was the transmission, the Mach 1 was as fast as running a 13.0 flat to a slower 13.7/13.8. Just the fact that the Mach 1 was capable of running low 13s is

2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1 (5 Speed) 4.7 13.2 @ 106 (Motortrend Feb ‘05)

I’ve owned an ‘04 Mach 1, and test drove a newer V6 with the same power rating.

13.2 at 106 > 13.7-13.8 at 102. The only Mach 1 that would perform like the ecobost is the one with the Auto transmission however the 5 speed manual was putting considerably faster numbers than the new 18 Ecobo0st Mustang. I have to agree that the new ecoboost are up there with the 260 HP Mustang GT of that era though

“Staggered black wheels, fat tire”

quad-cam rear-drive performance cars, with three pedals and not much else

I absolutely love mine. 2004 Screaming Yellow (1 of 768). It’s mostly stock except a catback and X-pipe, and a repainted hood and 99-01 Cobra bumper.

I had a 2004 GT and it was quick once you got to know the car. I once raced a Mach 1 and I was a nose ahead most likely to my slightly superior driving skills. A great driver could closed the gap between the 260 GT and the 305 Mach 1 however I know the Mach 1 was slightly faster. I always had a thing for a beautiful

Nah, this body style looked nice. The one before it looked like a jelly bean.

The mach 1 of that era was basically a mustang cobra with a solid rear axle and an awesome sound system, and some pleated seats. But yes I do like them. They aren't that great at drifting (at least not professionally) But they make great hooning cars.

Weird huh how a almost $40k car was sitting around w/ a big markup while people went with other brands and then the dealers decided to try and wait it out.... IDIOTS!

Out of curiosity, would you still feel that way if MTs become a $3k option because it’s an expensive deviation from manufacturing that costs a lot to certify for the 5-10% of people that order it in the US?

Not quite, but nice try. Should your 10% employee discount apply to other manufactures too?

Think of it this way, they’re not punishing people for driving a competition vehicle, they’re just rewarding those that buy the products they make. Personally I enjoyed having a Ram and parking in the deck 60, made it really nice during winter when I would go outside and not have to deal with shoveling snow off my
