I work for a Chevy dealer and we just had a woman picketing us on the street in front of our dealership for three weeks. Why? Because the USED Uplander van we sold her over three years ago developed some kind of ABS problem. She demanded another car, so eventually we ended up selling her a used car and taking her van

Not Bronco enough...

The air filter is down in the fender well between the front bumper and the right front tire. This guy is on TCCoA and the car is semi well known. I've got an '89 Thunderbird but its nowhere near like this.

I have a 1989 NA with full SC suspension swap and 5 speed swap. It probably handles better than an SC because my car is 250lbs less. It still says alot though when the Thunderbird SC was able to out handle the MR2, the Fiero, and the M6...

This new Mustang still has a MacPherson front end which is inferior compared to

I just laugh when I see peoples panties getting all moist about a muscular Ford with a technologically advanced IRS.

They've done it already, and I'm talking about New Edge Cobras.

They did already 25 years ago...

Dad?

I for one am glad to see dull wood come back, the shiny stuff always looked tacky and was obviously fake. Even fake dull wood is less obvious. I always thought this looked good:

The 3800/231 isn't an SBC with two cylinders missing, its an old Buick engine. The SBC with two cylinders missing is the Chevy 3.8/229 they used in the late 70s which was a 305 missing two cylinders, or a destroked 4.3 depending on how you look at it.

Oh hi Kelsey, I didn't know you were on here! I'm Raptor22 over at TCCoA. :)

This thread made me laugh since I just got my 1989 Thunderbird back on the road today after swapping a 5 speed into it in place of the AOD auto. Mine is a V6 but its 200lbs lighter than the 302 and mine makes close to 300lb/ft at the wheels. Whats really great however is the handling, which met and/or exceeded that of

Or Ned from Flanders... neighbor!

Dad?

Transmission can take it if built properly, race spec AODs can be had for a couple grand, so can the new 6sp transmissions from Ford. As for the rear end, its the same 8.8 they use in the current Mustangs (with that 5.0) and parts are cheap. 8.8s are pretty darn durable.

Now playing

Nothing wrong with the MN12 Cougars. I would argue that the 1989 XR-7 was the last real performance hurrah for Mercury other than the Marauder. Its basically a Thunderbird SC with slightly better suspension damping. With the supercharger and IRS they really are quite badass.

None of those cars should have qualified. Hell, Panthers didn't even qualify...

GM could have done the same thing with Chevy trucks and Bob Seger...

Is that racist too?

Hes a nice guy in person too.
